Nintendo Power has hinted at some on the new features on offer in the upcoming Animal Crossing: City Folk and it looks as if those long hours playing the DS counterpart Animal Crossing: Wild World could have payed off. Gamers who have spent time playing Wild World will be able to directly transfer their character over to the Wii Version. You will also be able to "take your travel data and download it to your DS," unfortunately this was not elaborated on further but it sounds promising.
The holiday themed events will be returning featuring a hip sounding new character called Zipper T. Bunny who will make an appearance for Bunny Day. Everybody’s favourite reindeer Jingle will return bringing gifts for all on Toy Day.
An exciting new feature of City Folk is "Photo Mode"; this allows you to take snapshots while roaming your city. Then simply put them onto an SD card and upload to your computer, or send them via the Wii to friends, their emails or mobile phones.
Downloadable Content could be arriving free of charge! While Nintendo are yet to have any out of this world DLC for any of their games in Animal Crossing this could include furniture, wallpapers and anything else you need to be a bad boy in your city.
Unfortunately Nintendo Power’s article suggest that Wii Speak will not be bundled with Animal Crossing, instead it will be on sale separately for USD$30.
