Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Special Ops

Infinity Ward and Activision have just dropped a new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, showcasing the games new iteration of their Special Ops mode.

This year Special Ops is all about survival, having you take on waves of enemies to secure the biggest guns, best vehicles and perks using cooperative synergy. Now this isn’t the first time a first person shooter has employed a survival mode for players, in fact, they have been quite popular as of late in almost every blockbuster shooter released recently, but Modern Warfare 3 really looks to refine the wave-based, survival gameplay, and give players something truly enthralling.

Call of Duty has always been about perks, and these tie in perfectly with this mode of gameplay. After waves you can receive weapon and armor upgrades. You will be able to gain access to equipment like turrets, and even call in air-support.

And it looks like you’re going to need all the help you can get. At about 1:30 you can see that you’ll even have to take on heavily armored opponents that won’t go down so easily.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be available November 8^th for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
