Electronic Arts and the Pagani Huayra

Electronic Arts, has secured exclusive rights to feature the newly-unveiled Pagani Huayra in the upcoming simulation, Shift 2 Unleashed and The Need for Speed. Named after the Andean God of wind, and posting a 700 HP power plant, this very tightly wrapped package of auto goodies tops out at over 230 real-world mph.

Horacio Pagani, founder of Pagani Automobili S.p.A. had a few comments on the inclusion of the Huayra in the newest Need for Speed game, saying…

“For the past seven years, the designing of the Huayra has been a labor of love and I’m ecstatic to be working with the entire Need for Speed team to help share our creation with the world,” and “I’m amazed by how accurately they have been able to capture the look and, most importantly, the feel of the Huayra. Shift 2 Unleashed will give enthusiasts all over the world the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the Huayra.”

Simulation enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the game features all the dynamic elements originally presented in the Need for Speed. As well, it includes enhanced features such as the Autolog. Just to torque everything down, rumor has it, EA has been boasting that this simulation sets a new standard.

Developed by the award-winning Slightly Mad Studios, Shift 2 Unleashed will be available across Europe on the Xbox 360®, PlayStation®3, and PC beginning March 31^st.
