CES Shows New 3D Technology
Pooka posted this item on Jan 6, 2011

We've all heard about the Nintendo 3DS coming out, but 3D technology is going far beyond the handheld. At the Computer Electronics Show NVIDIA showcased the Lenovo IdeaCentre K330 PC, a high-performance 3D gaming PC tower. This beast includes dual webcam lenses that allow for taking 3D pictures, or even holding a live conference over webcam in full 3D. Movie lovers, gamers, picture enthusiasts, and even your regular technology buffs are all looking at a treat when this technology officially goes mainstream.

The future as predicted from 1960's science fiction movies is almost here! We might still be a step away from complete holographic experiences, but it won't be long before everyone with a computer or smart phone will have the ability to project a real 3D image of themselves across the networks in an ordinary phone call. And what could be more thrilling to gamers than to have the monsters you're fighting literally jump off the screen at you!
