20 Years of Sonic the Hedgehog
2010 was known to gamers at the year that Mario celebrated his 25th birthday. Well on June 23rd, 2011 SEGA's Sonic the Hedgehog will be celebrating his 20th! Two decades ago this spiky blue hedgehog sped into our hearts with his can-do personality and stylish running shoes. Ever since then he has become a gaming icon, appearing in numerous games, toys, television series, and other pro-hedgehog propaganda.
SEGA Corporation plans to celebrate this milestone anniversary with a wide variety of events and specials that will be made publically known further into the year. For now we can only imagine and dream about the things to come in celebration of the legendary hedgehog. He's been collecting gold rings for twenty years now, and still shows no sign of slowing down! That's why we love the guy, he isn't going to stop doing what he does for anything!
