PINCH your way to the end!

Pinch, is an innovative single player iPhone puzzle game that is extremely addictive. You join spheres (known as norbs) to make different colors and sizes to pass various obstacles along the way to reach the end. The challenge is to know how to break up your norbs in such a way that you can get passed the obstacles with all your norbs.

For example, you find yourself with a white norb and a yellow doorway, the opening of which is too small for your norb to go through (white is able to go through any colored doorway). But wait! A switch is on the other side... so pinch out the blue norb and now you have a small yellow norb that can go across and hit the switch.

The graphics for an iPhone game are ok but could be better. Some different colors on the ground, more detail to the walls and various obstacles as well as a bit more attention to the norbs instead of just plain colors would have added more graphically.

Controls are very well thought out, simply tap and hold a norb and move your finger across to move the norb. Pinch and move your fingers apart to break down the norb. This is a very good use of the iPhones multiple touch capability. Sometimes it can be a bit frustrating to move in larger puzzles since you have to keep moving the screen around to see other areas rather than being able to zoom out to see the entire puzzle.

Some of the puzzles can be extremely frustrating because if you mess up on certain puzzles there is no way to go back to a certain area and you must restart the puzzle. This will start to make you think ahead, for when you pick up Pinch you won't be able to put it down!

The Good: A very innovating puzzle game. Great use of the iPhones multi touch. Addictive.

The Bad: Graphics could be a bit better. Some puzzles can be very frustrating if you keep making simple mistakes.

The Ugly: There is nothing ugly about Pinch!

Summary

Pinch is a fresh, fun and innovative new puzzle game to hit the iPhone. Pinch your norbs together or pull them apart again and become addicted for hours as you try to Pinch your way through many obstacles that must be overcome.
