HUDSON ENTERTAINMENT BRINGS DECA SPORTS TO NINTENDO DS
Portable Version of the Popular Sports Compilation Series Coming in 2010
San Mateo, Calif. – Aug 10, 2009 – Time to put your game face on! Hudson Entertainment, the North and South American publishing arm of HUDSON SOFT, will release DECA SPORTS™ DS in Spring 2010. Following the landmark success of the original DECA SPORTS and the upcoming release of the sequel DECA SPORTS 2, DECA SPORTS DS is an all-new sports compilation title with ten new games that can now be played on the go! Players will also be able to battle up to six friends in exciting multi-sports competition.
“With the original DECA SPORTS title shipping two million copies worldwide, we felt strongly that the franchise would translate to Nintendo DS™.” said Mike Pepe, director of marketing at Hudson Entertainment. “With ten completely new sports and game sharing, DECA SPORTS DS is going to give gamers and sports enthusiasts everywhere the same great experience they have come to know and love on Wii.”
Like the other DECA SPORTS titles, DECA SPORTS DS will feature an all-new diverse selection of sports including golf, ping pong, wall climbing, bobsled and rugby, as well as quirky and exotic sports such as arm wrestling, clay shooting, cheerleading, sky diving and sepak takraw. The new game will continue the original game’s credo of “the Everybody Sports Game.” In addition to the new sports and multiplayer functionality, gamers will also be able to design their own teams by customizing uniforms, changing athlete abilities and even altering the physical characteristics of the athletes themselves.
