Warrior Epic [PC] - Interview Exclusive
Warrior Epic, a highly anticipated MMORPG for the PC providing new features to the MMORPG genre, a game that was inspired from when a time when gaming was about getting together, providing gamers with the chance to play with and meet new companions. Today, Liam Copping Interviews Keren Kang, Production Coordinator for True Games Interactive, and hopes to shed more light on the game.
Liam Copping: There are many MMORPG games out there available for download, each with their own individual characteristics that thrill audiences, what do you think will attract gamers to Warrior Epic?
Keren Kang: I think the most attractive feature of Warrior Epic is its highly accessible and addicting session-based gameplay. A lot of the hardcore MMORPG’s require an extensive amount of time...whether it be leveling, raiding, or farming. I found myself forced to quit some of these MMO’s because of the time required to advance in the game. What’s great about Warrior Epic is the quality experience you get from a traditional MMORPG; but without the massive time commitment. That’s not to say the content isn’t suitable for more hardcore gamers as well – quite the contrary. But, it does mean that even if you don’t have 20 hours a week to play you can still make significant progress and feel a sense of accomplishment.
Liam Copping: Warrior Epic offers many different classes of warriors, so each gamer can have their own personal character. Could you explain just how personally customizable the characters are?
Keren Kang: All Warriors are highly customizable. Players can choose the face, hairstyle, accessories, sub-classes, and in some cases, tattoos. We take this customization further by allowing players to modify their skill sets in order to buff up a particular move.

Assassing running into action
Liam: The MMORPG's of today, give a range of difficulty and challenges, how challenging is Warrior Epic, is it for the hardcore MMORPG fan, or for anyone?
Keren: The range does vary. Warrior Epic caters to casual gamers as well as the hardcore, in your face, competitive types. For lack of a better word, Warrior Epic would be mid-core; or whatever a player decides suits their gaming ambitions
Liam: One of the biggest attributes to the MMORPG genre is of course the PvP. What can we expect from Warrior Epic and its perspective on PvP features?
Keren: Players can duel it out in arena-style, 1 vs. 1 matches, or party up 4 vs. 4. There are also objective-based PvP missions available. Our perspective is to offer competitive PvP settings where teamwork and strategy go hand-in-hand.

Traversing treacherous swamps
Liam: You claim that each adventure can be completed in under 15 minutes, how does this suit gamers looking for a lengthy challenge?
Keren: Even though most missions can be completed within 15-30 minutes, those that want to really take the time to explore every corner, defeat every MOB, or find every last bit of loot, can expect to spend considerably longer periods of time in each mission. There are rewards for those who will turn over every rock in every map.
Liam: You offer many extras and materials that you can purchase, how will this benefit gamers throughout the Warrior Epic world?
Keren: We do offer a wide variety of micro-transaction items, with the two predominant types being: convenience items for time-saving solutions, and vanity items to offer players further character customization. You’ll never find an item on sale that deals a million damage, nor will you find armour that will shield against everything.
Liam: You've introduced new features into the game that sound very promising! Could you outline the key features of the 'Spirit System'?
Keren: The spirit system is truly unique to Warrior Epic’s gameplay. Dying in battle is always a dreaded moment in MMORPG games. You’ll often find penalties or durability modifications if you happen to fall in combat. In Warrior Epic, death opens a set of options: players can resurrect their fallen warriors, they can leave them as spirits and borrow their powers in crucial times, or they can infuse spirits into weapons with the possibility to increase strength and unlock a weapon’s true potential. In a sense, dying becomes a strategy.
Liam: Do you intend to hold special events for the community, and if so can you give any details on what we can expect?
Keren: Definitely. I’m on Warrior Epic forums frequently in order to gage the wants and needs of our community. We plan on holding special events through our forums as well as the game once it launches. Although I don’t have details just yet, they will certainly happen come April, if not sooner.
Liam: After the release of the game in April 2009, what, in terms of gaming, do you intend to do from there? Can we expect any expansions or anything of that sort?
Keren: Absolutely. We already have a lot of expansion content planned after our launch. We hope to do bi-weekly updates and additions that will cater to our audience. Although we have a lot of content planned for expansions, it will be fueled by what the audience is looking for. Players can expect a lot of updates to Warrior Epic post launch and hopefully, in its years to come.

Abilities like 'fire wall' will keep more than just 'spam' out
