Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is the third installment in the Guitar Hero series (the fourth title overall). The game is published by Activision and RedOctane, with Neversoft as the developer for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii consoles, and Aspyr Media as the developer for the PC and Macintosh computers. Due to the acquisition of RedOctane by Activision, Harmonix Music Systems is no longer involved in developing titles in the Guitar Hero series; instead, they developed the competing Rock Band.
Features:
Songs: Enjoy more than 70 of the most legendary rock anthems of all-time.
Modes: Try the added multiplayer modes, including the arcade-inspired Guitar Battle and the dual shredding co-op career. Challenge the legends of rock and roll in boss battles, then take those axe-shredding skills online and rock around the world. See how you match up against the best in the world on the Leaderboards.
Downloads: Expand upon your Guitar Hero experience with downloadable songs, themes and picture packs.
Gameplay: All-new tricked out venues take you to hell and back. And check out your favorite characters freshly fitted with a few new faces.
Completely redesigned Gibson Les Paul/Kramer Guitar Controllers:
- Wireless freedom to rock without constraints
- Swappable faceplates for maximum customization (available on the Les Paul Controller)
- Breakaway neck for easier transportation between performances
- Ultra-stylish start and back buttons
Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq:ATVI) today announced that standalone wireless guitar controllers for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will be available at retail stores nationwide by early 2008.
