They've already dished up the heady concoction of damage, squad tactics and blisteringly immersive online play with Battlefield: Bad Company but Mercenaries 2: World in Flames looks set to perform the same sort of satisfying shenanigans with more of a single-player focus this time round.

The emphasis is on a sandbox-like freedom, allowing you as one of the three operatives to pick and choose how you want to complete each mission. Assassinate despots then take pictures of them to claim their bounties, or knock 'em out, tie 'em up and ship 'em out via helicopter.

As you can see, the title's obviously not looking the worse for wear despite its various delays, so come September it looks like it'll be time to set the world on fire once more.
