Commencing just after the Second Punic war, the historic synopsis recounts the many problems the Republic faced after defeating arguably its greatest foe – Carthage. It goes on to highlight her reliance on a series of pivotal figures, to confront these challenges head-on and keep Rome the dominant force of the Mediterranean for centuries to come.
