Urban Rivals – The Online Comic »

Authored by Surida on 2008-01-17 06:11:05

Boostr the Company behind Urban Rivals is pleased to see the final edition of their first comic episode released. Where else could you see candy munching zombie kids as part of a plot to hatch a giant, dinosaur-like creature onto the streets of the now infamous Clint City?

As rival clans battle for supremacy of the City’s streets, the first episode of the comic focuses on the Sentinel. The clan of law and order, Sentinel is a heady mix of guardian angels and lawful citizens accompanied by a quite brutal police force. The story is led by the always charming and often disarming “Copper” – follow his forceful enquiries into the goings-on with the GHEIST, Nightmare and Montana clans.

You can read all the comic editions released to date and continue to follow the bi-weekly editions online via the Urban Rivals website: - http://www.urban-rivals.com/comics/

The comic has been a great success in opening up the Urban Rivals world and characters to the game’s global audience. Players now get a better feel for the world they inhabit and the clans they choose to follow and what they stand for.

The comic has been produced by Bordeaux-based, Studio Makma, working closely with Boostr's in-house team to deliver a sample of life in Clint City.

Each new edition is released every 2nd Wednesday in three languages, just two days before the release of the new Urban Rivals character cards.

Nicolas Caris, head of Marketing at Boostr and the Editor of the online comic remarked; “the comic is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time and we're really happy to have found the right studio and have enjoyed watching the world of Clint City really come to life over the past few weeks”.
