The graphics in this game are beautiful. They aren’t so pushy that a machine a couple years old can’t push them out nicely, but at the same time – they are sharp. Plenty of terrain detail and the character weapons and armor are appropriately detailed. Mind you – there are sharper graphics out there and richer looking worlds, but this is overall – very nice.

Game Play is solid. Compared to other free MMORPGS, this is one of the top ones. All RPG’s (online and otherwise) seem to follow some of the same rote stuff, but if you are into RPG or want to try something new with no real risk – this is the one for you.

At the very beginning, you’ll be on the defensive and gets you immersed into play. The animations are sharp and it’s a kick to kill the monsters they throw at you. I’ve tried a Mage and Sorceror so far (yes, I’m a magick geek) (MAGICK MISSILES, anyone?).

The games has a well designed crafting system as well and immerses you into the economy of the world. For some people, it’s obvious this is what they are into and rather avoid the risk of death in the world with the monsters. That’s ok because I enjoy bringing the bodies and booty from the lairs. To each their own.

If you are feeling a bit ‘out’ and not wanting to play with others, Last Chaos introduces solo dungeon play. It’s a simple way to gain XP and throwing your body at mobs of monsters. For person to person combat, you can always go to an online Arena in the game and have at it kicking the snot out of real people (or in my case.. kicking the snot out of my wussy female magi). Last Chaos also has dedicated PvP servers for even more slaughter action. Guild battles.. Castle sieges.. your choice. Have at it.

Guardian System: Last Chaos comes equipped with a ‘Big Brothers’ style system. Experienced players are given an opportunity to train new players. In return, they get community cred and reputation. I had a few people volunteer – some are a wee bit weird, but you get that anywhere online. The community interaction, introductions, etc that this encourages is spectacular. I didn’t see much of it, but I have to imagine the guilds are using this strategy to recruit more suckers..er.. members.

All in all Last Chaos is a well build MMORPG. For a free one, I haven’t tried one yet that I would suggest over it. Now get at it!
