August 10, 2007 - Today Sierra announced its upcoming real-time strategy (RTS) game that picks up where the Cold War left off, World in Conflict, has gone gold. That means development is complete and the code is off to the manufacturing plant to be pressed onto consumable discs for its September 18 release date.Developed by Sierra's internal studio Massive Entertainment, World in Conflict aims to inject the fast action of a first-person shooter into the RTS genre. Author and Cold War authority Larry Bond wrote the single-player storyline, which Sierra describes as "a thrilling personal journey through World War III."
