Ghostbusters.I ain't afraid of no ghost! This remake of the 1984 classic by Activison resembles the original very much. Beware of the mellow man!My collaboration effort with Trevor “Smila” Storey for the 2006 Retro Remakes competition.As you probably gathered by the title, this is a remake of Ghostbusters, the inevitable movie tie in that was released on the 8 bit computers, “Back in the day.”The game took just over 2 of the allotted 3 months coding time.While I beavered away on the code, Smila stroked his magic wand and produced some rather impressive visuals.He done a cracking job and while the whole lot would rate fairly high on the good-graphic-ometer, the best piece of pixellation has to be Mr Mallow Man himself.He’s effing huge !As well as receiving a graphical overhaul, I tweaked and downright changed some game play elements.The most notable being the driving sections.While these were pretty pointless in the past, there are now cars to dodge and bonus money to collect.If you smack a car, you loose money so there is incentive for a clean run.
