hi guys,

just wanted to know about the online for the Xbox, i have a xbox and a ps3 i have online for the ps3 but not for xbox as i dont really go on it, but recently my friend got an Xbox and got online and i thought it looked good i wanted to get online but never did but as i relize now i do. i just want to know if its good or not? would you recomend it? just kinda stuck to know if i should get online for it or stick with just the ps3.

so any suggestions would be nice ,

I've been a member of XBox Live for 5 years now and I've never once regretted it. I have many friends (a few of them personal friends, but I've met some amazingly awesome people on Live in the time playing) and it's an amazing experience to, say, play a game with someone in a different country or, perhaps, meet someone in the same city as you.

I would highly recommend it. In the five years I've had it, I've only seen it go down twice: Once for maintenance and once because 1 million people were trying to play Halo 3 at the same time.

XBox Live is a massive online community - the largest in the current generation of consoles. Yes, there are children who scream into the mic, but games are getting smarter these days and have the ability to weed out those people. (Reach, for example, builds an amazingly intricate phsyc profile on you as you play, if you quit early, if you're a talker, if you're loud, lousy, etc. and you can avoid people based on different characteristics)

alot of my friends say this also, i am sure that i will get it. i play on it now (not online ofc) but no on just games with no online i like it alot as it is but i have the same for the ps3 like it online and not online but i am sure now i will get online for the xbox, as it sounds really good and looks really good...

One of the things that put me off getting an XBOX was that you have to pay for online stuff. If you are going to pay for something then you need to be sure you will get the monies worth.

Now this is just from my own experiance.
I'm a PS3 owner, And like tullys, I don't regretting get a PS3. you DON'T have to pay for online service, but there is an optional service called Platinum or plus server or some for like 50 bucks a year, but i don't got it.
anyhow, Kinda like Xbox live, You can buy other titles for you PS3, Like FFVII,FFVIII Metal Gear solid, For a price of coursem, Which these titles aren't very costy Just to name a few. Plus, It's hardly it go's down

But, i'll leave the descion up to you what you would like to do.

It is hard to choose but i have decided to not get it for the reasons...

i like playing on with no online for most games, also if i did get it it means i will have to pay for the online (not very expencive i know).. but if i did get it i will have to buy games i want to play online and a new controller as the one i have now is very old and not working too good, and i wouldnt like to buy all those for me to not like it. so yeah i am not going to get it, i will play on the Xbox but not online.
