How many have you guys and girls have played it? I played the demo a few weeks ago and was slightly amazed at how good it was. Yes its using an updated version of the GRiD engine, but wow it had me hooked and the GFX are even better than GRiD.

I bought the game on 11.09.09 for you yanks that was 09.11.09.

Shame about the yank date, but this game is freaking awesome as i expected from the brilliant demo!


  • So how many of you are looking forward to such an awesome game?
  • Who out there is playing this awesome game?
  • Also who out there is waiting for this game for PC, cos im on XboX 360 and loving every minute of it LOL. Sorry :P.

Ive haded since tuesday pretty nice game ive been playing it alot ^^ the gfx are awesome. I do however miss some of the cars :{ i miss the audi's...I should also add mine is for ps3 ;-)

Yeah i want to buy this game, I loved the demo the graphics and the festival feel you get just before the race. When i get it we can hook up and have a race. It has been a while :wink:

I just completed the Colin McRae challenge and it was awesome, you have to drive a MK II Escort and its amazing how forgiving the car actually is.

Im playing on serious for the time being and this game just gives so much, it really makes you feel special when you the hit the apex just right, watching the replays of your last drive really gives me a buzz.

This game isnt for the faint hearted and is a MUST for driving game enthusiasts. This week ive been getting home late from work (11pm) and ive been makin this a must before i goto bed. This game is so much fun and really makes me wana get out there and race for real, now all i gotta do is get my new car ASAP!

It looks like they expanded on the types of cars, is there still the equivalent of the World Rally Championship on there? Or is it broken up between different types of cars and race styles like Grid?

There are different types of races now, aswell as the rally stages. Theres also rally cross and the X-Games events too, which are pretty cool with the sweet jumps.

Theres also the baja off road type of races too which are quite good, new game modes such as domination where you have to beat the time of each section of the track. There are alot of even types now compared to the old days of Colin McRae on the PS2.

You have to try it cpnichol lol!

I just unlocked the MK II The evo X is amazing O.O acceleration on that car is crazy. I want to test out the f1 race car thingy (forgot waht it was won it after beating trailblazers world tour). The Renault R4 is crazy on the street (forogt when i got it but its really really quick) Its super hard to control i was doing rally cross in LA and hit the street bit instantly was burning out around all the corners lol.. Whats your favorite car for rally/rally cross/trailblazers

Rally: Subaru STI (the new one not the one you start off with) aswell as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X
Rally X: Subaru STI(same one as the rally) nothing beats this car in drifting turns ;-)
Trailblazer: Evo X *jaw drops* i was half throttle or so behind someone and was going about as fast as him, Went full blown car roared to life and flew by the guy.

Ill add raid for fun or w/e one of the trucks thing
Mitsubishi lancer and the VW touareg :p got to love the redbull touareg :D

Couldnt find a good lancer raid one :/ The evo X one isnt exactly the same but as close as i could find. All of them Energy drink based :p

Out of any event I love Colins R4, it accelerates so quick! 100+mph in under 3 seconds!

For the off road events I love the Bowler Nemesis, allthough i think the VW Touareg is a beautiful looking machine, I havnt tried it yet *goes to buy it now*. I dunno what it is but I just prefer the R4 to even the Evo X, you can chuck it about like its a Go Kart, allthough doing some of the X-Games jumps for example it lands really hard and can loose control. I guess its down to the short wheel base.

I really loved the MKII Escort, it even beats the 1995 Subaru Impreza lolz.

And as for the Wii..... The gfx look appalling, my PSP has better gfx capabilities....

To answer:

Rally: R4 (its just so light, fast excelleration and nimble)
RallyX: R4 (im a boring sod lol)
Trail Blazer: R4 (yeah thats right im really boring)

Im gonna give the Evo X a few more tries though after what you said Drifter, but I just love the R4 so much, you excellerate sooo fast, you can break later and its so responsive with its steering.

I really love this game, you have to properly use the throttle, instead of just brake, full throttle, brake, full throttle etc. I think its a real drivers game.

*EDIT* Forgot I unlocked the MG Rover metro R4 and its really really good on rally cross, I seem to like the smaller cars for some reason lol. Maybe it has something to do with my previous cars IRL? Who knows.
