cutting video's and demo's

i've been making szome of my own demo's recently

is there anyway to play the demos not in cs, like through a media player?

and how would i cut parts out of the videos, u know instead of watching me run from spawn to the next round just taking clips out of me nade killing 4 in a row.

fraps + windows movie maker.

Fraps the whole match, then cut it in windows movie maker.

Also if you press shift+f2 while viewing the demo, you can rewind/fastforward and some other things.

Hey, just so you know, you can type more than a sentence before you hit the "submit" button to make your post. This isn't "instant messanger", you can type out an essay and then make the post if you want.

If you're using FRAPS and Windows Movie Maker to edit a demo/vid, does the console remain the same?

i.e. in regards to a hacker demo, if i type "status" in console, but then edit down the video, would the steam ID's still show up when I run the demo?
Maybe I'll play around with it a bit to find out -- this is just in case anybody knows off the top of their head.
