Yo,
i just wanted to introduce myself here, as this seems like a fun clan/community(?).
I heard about you guys through steambans, Where i'm an voting admin. One of your members posted an anti-cheat guide there so i though i get in here to see whats going on!
I see you guys have a lot of servers! Do you play in leagues too ?

Welcome welcome! Always nice to see some new faces around here.
I see you've already made some valuable contributions to our community and our behind the scenes processes - thanks!
If you're looking for an awesome server to play on, be sure to check out our Crackhouse server. While it's a pain in the butt in terms of cheaters and abusers (popular deathmatch servers are that way), it's a blast to play on and one of my favorites!

Welcome to Spawnpoint Arock, Spawnpoint is a community not a clan and we don't play in leagues as spawnpoint but i am sure there are members in the community that are part of clans and regularly play matches and what not.
It is nice to see a member of sourcebans making his way over here, our anti cheat guide must have done some impressing. So welcome, there is plenty to check out on this site to keep you busy. And i am sure your knowledge of cheaters is something that would benefit our community in the battle to keep the servers free of cheaters.
Also it looks to me like Tullsy wants a server off, because the 24/7 UK assault will put up a fighting challenge for the crown of awesome server. What are the terms of the epic battle?

yo, joined the crackhouse server this morning, but as it's located in the states, my ping wasn't ideal(100+). I'll try the UK servers today.
To correct something you said=> sourcebans != steambans. It's a common mistake but sourcebans works different then steambans does.
By the way, if someone ever needs some help at steambans, you can IM me there(my nick is eliasvdv).

Welcome to Spawnpoint.
That was me bothering Mordekay with my nasty .pdf links . Thought it might be useful to share, the more info people have the better job they can do keeping cheats off servers. In case anyone was wondering about the guide, this is it:

You guys do a great job over at Steambans (and yeah, I call it Sourcebans by mistake a lot), so thank you for providing another level of protection for our servers against those pesky cheats. I run the local Anti-Cheat Team here at Spawnpoint, we do what we can to keep the cheats off servers while making sure we don't ban anyone by mistake. That helps but when you add Steambans and an anti cheat plugin for Sourcemod it's brought the number of cheats on our servers down dramatically.
Any news on when submissions will be open for CSS demos?

New plugin is almost ready to be released. We're doing some testing, but offc everything's slowed down cause of the holiday.
We hope to get it released soon. If you guys need any hand reviewing demo's, i always want to help catching cheaters :).
Cool you like steambans :). Its communities like this one that keeps cheaters of the protected servers.

Those CSS updates do make a mess of plugins and you guys have to make sure yours is water tight, so it's understandable. We store all demos we get so it's just a case of keeping a record of them to submit in future, though I do miss the "haha, silly cheat just got banned from 1000+ servers". Getting cheats banned never gets boring even if it's on servers I'll never play.
We do alright dealing with demos, we have around 10 years of anti cheat experience in our anti cheat team, so it's not often we get stumped. Although it perhaps wouldn't be a bad idea to get some 3rd party input on some of the borderline ones, so I may take you up on that offer. I have been tempted to apply at Steambans several times, but I have my responsibilities here.
Add me on steam if you like, cpnichol.
