Hello. i would like to apply for admin. I think i am a good player never hack or anything i know some admin in css crackhouse and they seem to like me. so i think i can be a good admin for our spawnpoint cs_crackhouse on css. i play there every day at least one hour or mor. so plz give me a chance.
The purpose of this thread is to help those of you who want to apply for admin avoid some of the basic mistakes that will result in an application being turned down, explain a bit more about what is required and provide a few tips to improve your chances of being successful. We do not charge for admin, but we don't just give it out to anyone.

We aim to provide servers that are fun places for everyone to play and to treat everyone as fairly as possible, as a result we expect our admins to maintain our high standards. So here are some of the things we require from an admin applicant:

A Valid SteamID.

Without a SteamID it is impossible for us to give anyone admin. To find your SteamID join any server then open console (to enable console go to options - keyboard - advanced and then tick "enable developer console") and type status. This will list every player on server and their SteamID, it will look something like STEAM_0:0:12345678.

Website Participation.

This means posting on the forum, although blogs and a few other things count too. There is no set minimum number of posts, quality is preferred to quantity, so 5 well thought out, detailed and interesting posts will count for more than 30 two word posts.

There are a few reasons we have this requirement:

- It lets us get to know you a bit better. We have a lot of servers so it's not possible for us to know every applicant.

- Website traffic helps pay for the servers. Servers are expensive so by regularly visiting the site you are helping keep those servers free for all. Clicking the occasional advert helps too.

- Every admin is expected to visit the webiste regularly to check for any complaints about them, rule changes or other info they need to know. So if you are applying then regular forum participation lets us be confident you will be doing that.

Some Basic Game Knowledge.

You don't have to have been an admin before, but as an admin you will need some basic knowledge about the game in order to be able to do your job. Most of the admin commands are done using a simple menu, but there are occasions where you will need to take screenshots, use the console to get some information or record a demo. How to report a hacker

All admins are required to send in demos if they want someone perm banned, so a very good way to improve your chances of getting admin is to send in a demo, including status, of a cheater or some other problem player prior to applying for admin. It shows that you know how to do it and that you are prepared to take a little time to make the server a better place to play.

Stick To The Rules.

If you're going to be enforcing our rules then you need to be able to stick to them. If you've been getting banned or causing problems on the server then it's going to count against you. It doesn't mean you can never be an admin but you will have to show that you can stick to the rules for a prolonged period. The same applies to the forum.

Play On The Server You Want Admin On.

Sounds obvious but if we never see you on server then it's unlikely you'll get admin on there. There may be exceptions, but not normally.

Patience.

Admins need it. Our application system can take a while, especially if you want admin on a server that already has lots of admins and gets lots of admin applications. A lot of our admins had to apply more than once before being successful.
