Is it weird I somewhat prefer losing? I always play as CT when playing assault because it's more challenging, and if our team is doing really well...then it's time to start trying to knife! nothing will bring down a kill death ratio faster than a constant knife rush! :S

i remember being a n00b... frustrating to say the least. i agree that ridiculing ppl that are learning makes ppl leave the server and not come back to it... kinda counter productive.

I'm convinced we're all STILL n00bs. Not only do we all have more to learn about the wonderful world of CS, (e.g different levels, weapons, etc) -- but we also have our good and bad days. Whether they are new to the game, as the term n00b suggests, or just struggling that day -- it shouldn't matter.

I appreciate all the positive energy within this post and I hope it carries over onto the servers -- there's no sense making fun of ANYONE, let alone someone just learning the basics. It's rude and ruins everyone's fun.

Let's have hug-a-gamer day, not just hug-a-n00b, because everyone likes hugs -- and we all should be having fun playing with friends.

I should send in a scan of one of my 'pink detention papers' from highschool. I actually got a buncha detentions in HighSchool for giving people Hugs. Didn't stop me though. I gave about 60% of the school a hug at one time or another (my highschool had ~3600 studentss...)

I hate it when people are afriad to die, you'll notice this most in assault. If every CT rushed in every single round without hesitation, they would probbaly win most of them. Silly kids and thier being scared to die in a video game...tisk tisk

Usually, if someone is tossing around insults, more often than not, i'll allow them to continue by themselves.

People who are generally crabby and pissy, are usually already in a foul mood, and I figure that if I respond as such, I only reduce myself to their level and wind up frustrated myself.

Let them vent and whine, no need to let them drag you in.

No doubt, warnings are issued where applicable if necessary.

If they are just simply calling me a noob, or loser or something, i'll let them vent a little by themselves. If they get a tad out of hand even after a warning, then they get muted.
