Admin applications

All admin requests must be done through this link from now on.
http://www.spawnpoint.com/RequestAdmin.php
This apply for admin link can be found on the "servers" page, just above the FAQs. We will no longer be accepting them through the email.
*NEW* You can check the status of pending admin applications by clicking the link above while being logged in to the forums. Emails are sent out to applications that are approved, while we don't have denial emails set up yet.

The "requirement" for 25 forum posts to qualify for admin has been misunderstood. Posting "crap" or spamming the forums just to get over this mark actually hurts your chance at getting admin. The "requirement" was set up to get people active and involved in our community. <-----THIS is the requirement for admin that was implied. The forums need to be visited, especially if you receive admin. There might be a complaint about YOU that needs a response. 25 GOOD posts people, bad ones count against you. (and don't try to get them all in one day either....this would be spamming)

There is now a "site traffic" requirement for keeping your admin. You are required to log in to the forums periodically to check the report an incident forum and to contribute to the forums in a positive way. This, so far, is the only "cost" of admin....other than following the rules and policies of Spawnpoint of course.

Yep I kinda figured that from the get go as well and it'll still take 30 days before you can use that so even if you do want admin posting 25 in a few days won't matter you'll still have to wait. So take your time, post in topics you feel you know or are actually contributing to and try to get to know the Spawnpoint user base. Atleast thats what I've been trying to do.

Good Luck all

I understand Xtreme. I applied for admin at least a week ago. Bullet told me that there something wrong with the admin application process? I don't know but he'll say he'll come across the requests soon. But I understand about staying active in the forums and community.

You enforce the server rules. Like no mic spamming, hacking, Rrated sprays and plenty more Im sure.

read the FAQ on the "servers" page about admin for dummies and read the others that have our rules and other questions answered.
good idea

i believe that is an excellant idea and i would think that the time limit would be longer but whatever. I have been playing on the west coast server for a while and i am rated at around #20 and i am loving it.

aww i shoulda signed up for forum liek 2 months ago when i started playing on spawnpoint server. I am rank about 14 out of 2100 people, but many hackers come through. It gets annoying and its really rare an admin of that server actually logs on. the server is SPAWNPOINT.COM | Dust2 24/7 Pub | DWP-OFF, but its really fun when its all fair. Im going to try to get admin on that server to ban those god damn hackers but gota wait like 20 more days >.< :(

I think some of the main things are:
start acting like admin... be conscientious of the rules and remind others if they are breaking them, with respect.
get demos! no more crying "hacker!" but rather go spec and get a good demo. I am betting that giving to the community in this way will do a lot toward gaining admin status.

I, for one, and still waiting. :-)

Our "Commander in Chief" Hitman is on vacation at the moment so some of you will have to wait for replies.

There is no set time limit as to how long it may take to be given notification as to whether you will be granted admin or not.

As fer_sher says i'd suggest you continue to act responsibly, record and send in demo's and act in a mature fashion at all times as you never know who might be watching ;)

Bully, depending on where you are based you'll find a lot of the Spawnpoint staff play on the PHXX servers FY, East 2 and Gun Game. However if you ARE in Da then your application should be made through Oz as he's your clan leader.

Ah that makes sense wasn't aware he was on vacation. Oz sent one in for me and didn't get a reply so I sent mine in when my 30 days were up. Guess I'll continue what I've been doing and wait and see.

If you have proof ie a demo or ss you can email to . Otherwise a respectful post in the Report an Incident section.
