May I ask where you got this? I remember seeing a post by Waldo on the steam forums saying that custom skins will not get you banned.

Ya i dont think skins can get you banned its not like a hack or virus is it now!

Some skins give you a unfair advantage and some don't i guess all you can do is choose wisely i had skins for 2 years and nothing happened.

You can only be banned for custom skins in Cal..and even then it isn't a VAC ban...Whoever told you this is a liar.

skins are usefull but its recomend you learn how to unistall them aswell because some just make ur gun invisable its like a error and cometimes its really hard to fix but i use them there usefull

they can also make your gun pink and black squares which can get annoying. but to do it i suggest gdownloading winRAR then going to FPS banana clicking on skins at the top then clicking on the gun you want to mod in the top section. then select the mod you want downlaod it then in winRAR drag and drop the material, model, sound and script (script may not be there) the cstrike folder. and you should be modded

Yea FPSbanana is probly the best site for skins however if you are goign into a competetive stage i suggest you do not use it for you will get banned (maybe for only like the next match or so but still is an inconvienence)from TWL, Cal, or OGL whichever one you are on. But if you are just a regualr old joe who likes to pub it up its great, i did it for months until i got into cal which i just deleted them all, because i accidently kept my gui on in a match, luckily they didnt want to see my demo (not sure how they would figure out how i had it on)

Be VERY careful if you decide to download and use skins in CSS.

As stated above people HAVE been banned for using some in the past. VAC must pick up on some "script" or other and decide you're cheating.

You can only be banned for custom skins in Cal..and even then it isn't a VAC ban...Whoever told you this is a liar.

* Playing multi-player mods which do not modify core .EXE and .DLL files
* System hardware configurations
* Updated system drivers, such as video card drivers
* Playing with custom skins

Yea but like raven said they come attached to a hack some cases and it WILL get you VAC banned. I have seen it happen to some of my friends and thats why i dont use skins.
