Is this just a general question or are you looking to buy?
If you are looking to buy, I would like to have a budget for a PC to determine which is more suited.

it all depends on the person, personally i prefer my PC over the 360, but ive heard of some really nicely modded xbox 360's so if you know what your doing with a xbox 360 and can mod it amazingly id get one since i have a good computer already, just like you do, but if you have a poor quality computer, id suggest upgrading your computer first, rather then getting a console.

If you have a good enough PC, then a PC with Vista does just about everything an xbox does...and can play against xbox users with Games For Windows, even hook up a 360 controller :). Not to mention a PC has more uses...
I'd go for a PC...plus I coulnd't game seriously with a controller (unles it's Super Smash for the Cube)
The xbox does have the HD-DVD capabilities though (I think?), that's nice

Yea...but you have to buy an actual HD-DVD player add-on which will set you back around $200.
Even though my PC isn't the greatest I would still pick it over an 360 cause you can't play CSS or SC (yes I still play starcraft occasionally) on a 360.

The HD-DVD for the 360 can be hooked up to a PC...definitely the cheapest way to go hi-def

But I'll go for the PS3 personnaly,:offtopic: but for this thread I'll say the PC, you can do a lot of things if you got a decent Pc, goodluck with red dead lights ;) (x360 ).

Depends, I purchased a 360 because I knew a fair number of people that played games online. For the longest time, I was a die-hard PC gamer, but having a 360 allowed me to enjoy a larger number of titles that I wouldn't have looked at for the PC. When it comes down to it, I really think it depends. If you already have a PC that can hold up for the next couple of years, I definitely think you should get a 360. If you think the PC would only function at it's prime for another year or less, definitely get a newer PC.
In the same light, a 360 console with the HDMI port, will last a good number of years before needing to be replaced.

PC because on FPS games on 360 you cannot move around fast at all and on PC you can so its better!

i think it depends on how good your pc is and what games u want to play. personnely i prefer pc for things like css, crysis, COD4 etc...

Just a little advice, watch the date of the last reply of a thread before posting in it, because some people might not really like it to see an old thread being posting it..
That's just an advice, and welcome to the forums ;).

I'd have to go with my PC. I enjoy the 360, but nothing can beat my Comp.

PC, the Xbox 360 is incredibly unstable. So far I've managed to play 6 hours on it. Thats 6 hours out of 4 days. I spend most of the time cooking and cooling it or reading tutorials about fixing it a bit. So far, the ONLY reason to get Xbox 360 is that you theoretically can play GTA IV with it.

There are chances of stuff happening. Stuff being the RROD.
My xbox got the RROD after a year of working fine. And when you get the RROD they either fix it or replace it
