Blue ray option is now dead....I would want to use it on my main 1080p tv in the living room but my wife just ki-boshed that. She said I can only hook up consoles in the family room where we only have a 32" tv...
She said if I wanted a blue ray player that I could just go get one...blue ray disks are so expensive to buy still. I would be a video renter for a while I guess.
I am also with Tullsy where my 360 doesn't lag or stutter at all...even playing the force unleashed...I bought the elite bundle. I know there are different models and different processors in them. Mine is also well ventilated as I heard heat can be a real issue with the 360s for some people.

Bluray on my 42' 1080p LCD is simply amazing, it warrants the price tag.
Oh, and anyone see any trailers or read any previews on Killzone 2? That game looks incredible, I can't wait til February comes around.

I'll be honest, the 360 was great, I mean I had Ps2, and when 360 came out, I bought it and thought it was amazing, but like every product out there, it had flaws, which I'm sure I'll find some flaws with my new Ps3 over time. But when I played Ps3 compared to 360, the difference wasn't small. It was like comparing a pocket knife to a surgical laser.
I had fun with the 360, it doubled as a DVD player for me as well and it served its purpose.
And I'm not buying Blue ray movies either, renting is bliss ;), and also I just got an account with Net Flicks and I couldn't be happier.
Also, let me know if any you chaps play online,
George

I'm a proud PS3 owner myself.
The only thing that saddens me is that I have HDMI cables but no HMI-supported TV (yet). Having a big screen is nice, but my video experience so far with my PS3 is nothing to brag about. :(

Archer, as soon as your able to pick up a HDMI tv, TRUST ME, you won't regret it. Even though the movies are a bit expensive, Blue has blown me away, and to be honest, PS3 gameplay on my HDMI LCD is absolutely crisp, I recommend getting the HDMI TV if your into detail and clarity.
Hope you get one soon archer!
Frag On,

I got my PS3 in the first month it came out, free with a contract phone! And my lord was it worth it. 12 month £35 contract (per month) free phone, free 60GB PS3. My PS3 has pleasured me for so long and nothing can compare to it (probably sound like a total geek but yes:D). Although I can't really tell any difference when playing games on the PS3 and then when playing the Elite over at my bro's. A HDMI TV alongside a PS3, is near enough Heaven for the eyes.

I have an 80g PS3 purchased a last December. Although my viewing experience is limited, I do have some Martin-Logan speakers.

Throw all my music videos and such onto my PS3 and then I can view them anywhere(there is Wi-Fi) on my PSP. A PS3 really will make you a happy person.

I binned my surround sound on my PS3 and replaced them with a set of Sennheiser Home / HiFi Range RS130 WIRELESS Headphones.
It makes the gaming and DVD experience amazing :D

I didn't say that...However, I am saying it now. I've never had a problem with my 360, and I still think it is the best out of the three next-gen consoles. My Wii has gone unused in three months, and my PS3? I don't even know where it got off to, I think my friend is borrowing it, but I don't think I could care less... :Z
