Both have their ups and downs
Downs on PS3
-No Achievements
-No internet community
-No Rumble
Downs for 360
-No Blu-ray DVD player built in
-Gotta pay for online
-Not Reliable (old models new ones have better cooling)

Sony Playstation 3
Posted: Feb 21, 2008, 00:35:28
I agrea with you. Both systems do have their ups and downs.
I have had the hard decision between microsoft and sony when i was buying my new console. I chose sony playstation 3 and i am very proud of it. I enjoy the system very much so and i believe it really truelly is the gamming experience as well as the movie experience with the Blu ray built right in.
There is a big thread on Blu ray VS. HD DVD. Heres the link.

Sony struck a deal with Dualshock so Rumble controllers will be coming out. I remember them saying sometime in February or March.

That is really great to hear Vudoo. Really that was one of the only things that was keeping PS3 apart from the xbox 360. I knew they were going to make them sometime with rumble, but i never knew it would be that soon. Thats great! :)

I personally own a PS3, when I made my choice :
x360
-ring of death ( heard that was fixed, and microsoft is now offering so longuer warranties )
- Pay for online
PS3 :
-Less player on the online games ( pffft it's free )
--------------------------------------
x360
-was a bit cheaper ( now the PS3 is a lot cheaper )
- GTA IV
PS3
-Blue Ray
-Free internet
-GTA IV
I chose the ps3 .... ( I ordered it in summer 2007 from ebay : new --> total price (shipped at house ) = 500 $ )
BTW : enV go buy a PS3, so we'll be able to play GTA IV online on april 29 ;).

I am definitely going to have to go with the Playstation3. I have never played on the Xbox 360 before, but games like Rainbow6 Vegas, Formula 1, Dirt and Motorstorm on the Playstation3 are just too sweet. I don't think anything beats it.

In my opinion PS3 dominates the newly made consoles, amazing graphics and you can use your old games with it

They are both great systems so you can't go wrong. I personally own the ps3 but still want a 360. PS3 obviously wins in the free online, built in wifi and stuff like that. 360 you have to buy wifi attachment and pay online.
360 does have a better online system though. I just want a 360 for Dead Rising since I love that game.
Both have good games and PS3 will have some nice titles and a DVR capability sometime this year. So I would say pick the PS3 if you want the extras. 360 if you want Halo and some of its exclusive titles.

You can fold on PS3's :)
Blu-Ray is nice, and the processing power of a PS3 is just insane. Puts out about as much heat as it does frames though...:o...

i don't have either consoles but judging by what i hear on the news there are soo many problems with the 360 many retail stores such as BestBuy and Wal-Mart report warranty uses through the roof on 360 consoles, problems such as the infamous Red Ring of Death and numerous problems with headsets, disk read errors, and overheating so i think PS3 is a much better buy that's not to say that every 360 will get toasted after you buy it just a majority
