Alleged list of steroid users — The Monty Minute

Sad...
Baseball players are more interested in breaking records then actually playing the game, Thus causing them to do as much as they can even (increase muscle/stamina) if it means losing respect from fans and other players (Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa etc.)

I feel what Yankees is trying to say is that the Red Sox's are cheaters. (Yankees actually didn't say that, i'm putting words in his mouth. just letting you know.)

I agree it sad to see this happen. Anytime an athlete does something it gets the steroid treatment or he has a high tech swimsuit. What happened to the good old days when you played sports for fun.

In a word, money.

The amount players of various games are paid is what has turned almost every sport into a nonsence. Although baseball isn't big here in the UK, the same would apply to football players.

The days of someone actually longing and wanting to play for a club they grew up supporting are gone, and the majority of these players will go to where the big bucks are. Is it really good for a sport if these "role models" are paid £50,000+ a week regardless of their behaviour on and off the field of play (just google Steven Gerrard for the latest disgraceful display of a football icon) and how they actually play and their attitude towards the game itself.

The same pride that won England the World Cup in 1966 is no longer there, if players don't care or play with a passion it's pointless, and they don't have to because now driving the best Bently or modeling Calvin Klein underpants means more than playing for your country, and you get paid regardless of how well or what you do.

In simple terms, sport is no longer a "sport" it has become a business.

Money brings out the worst in people even if it means harming their bodies.

I don't usually pay much attention to baseball but this steriod thing seems to have been going on for a long time.

Quite a few sports get serious problems with steroids/performance enhancing drugs, usually because the regulations are lax and the rewards are high. Low risk of being caught + lots to gain = cheating.

Cycling and athletics were like that for a while until they introduced tough punishments for those caught and more testing. Suddently cheating becomes a lot less appealing. It's not that it goes away but it's not endemic like it used to be.

Baseball needs to get tough on drugs cheats, test more and start banning those that get caught from the sport.

i love the game of baseball but not as much as other sports and this is the main reason right here. steroids in baseball have been going on more than any other sport. this is rediculous. baseball should just give all users a life ban. idc who they are. life ban for all and records should be taken away. barry say good bye to ur record. and ur hall of fame dreams.
