I was wondering if admins can change players names on the server that are offensive. I have looked all over and I cant find the amx command. Also, llama-fying a target works good too but either my admin level doesnt allow me too or I am doing the command wrong.These would be easier than having to ask them multiple times to change it, stop doing what they are doing, andother "punishment" options that are available. All the other commands work good. (which means I am not such a noob with those lol)

its not just a command, its a plugin that allows that command to work. normally, the command is amx_nick playersnick newnickname. but i highly doubt the server has it.

when I had admin on a server we had all the commands binded to keys....I hope that is some help for you

You are referring to a client exec plugin. This plugin is not standard on our servers. The few servers that have the plugin, there are very very few admins have access to this. With good reason. Anything you can do in your console, the plugin will allow you to do it in their console.

i would sugjest using the standard warn, warn, kick, temp ban, ban procedure. if the name is not allowed then follow your admin rules as how to take care of the issue as fast as possible to return the server to normal.

Too many people abuse the execclient feature anyway. It can be useful for people that are less intelligent and can't figure out how to bind a key or how to change their name, but unfortunately, it's misused too often. Ever heard of slow hacking?

I'll admit that I've execcliented a few troublesome people on my 1.6 server. amx_execclient rate 200. MUAHAHHA! Then they get all confused at why they are suddenly lagging so bad and leave.

Thanks for all the replies but its kind of a moot point now. I haven't had the same kind of problems since. The regulars always gang up and make the fools end up leaving anyway lol. I did the bind for the commands and it works alot better/faster for me.
