Why [SP] will always be the best.

If you look at our extensively long RAI section you'll find an example of every incident you might encounter on an online server, you will also see how professional, fair and courteous our staff is. That's why I wanted to share the following.

If your wondering why I'm posting this thread then I'll get straight to the point. Due to lack of population on our US assault servers (my personal favorite map/game) I have resorted to playing on other servers just for the sake of competition and traffic.

Recently I was deemed to be a hacker and was banned by one of their admins and was asked to appeal my ban on their forums in the same manner our staff and I deal with such incidents which I courteously did with no hesitation. Whether I like the server and the way it's managed or not it does offer me a place I can enjoy my short free time HSing players.

So if your interested to see how this incident was handled and would like to appreciate how things are handled on our servers feel free to visit the following link.

AboAly gets banned!!!

P.S: This thread is not meant to disrespect any member/s or server/s, it's simply stating the facts. Any bashing replies towards any party will be deleted and users will be penalized.

Ah the GoG server

I've still no idea why people play there :confused1: It's full of people and admins who reckon they're never wrong and anyone decent always hacks

Abo come play on the UK server mate. You should be able to play well on there and your ping and latency should be reasonable

I'm sure you'll have a few of the regulars shouting "Hacker" real quick LOL

first off this may be alittle off topic but i love you avatar abo...love smoking out of one of those from time to time

and as for the i did indeed read the thread. and i dont take their words to heart i joined this community for alot of reasons but the major reasons are your fairness, respect, the way you handle business and the bond we all have whether it be gaming or not...SpawnPoint is a community...as spappy and gey as it may sound...SpawnPoint is a family

Ive got to say communities like that have never interested me, idiotic immature behavior with no one to question or do anything about it. But good to see you got unbanned Abo. :)

And even if they were to question your reputation or even spawnpoint as a large standing community is neither here or there, at the end of the day the guy had no grounds to ban you, even if he had a demo. Thus why SP's system is miles ahead and much fairer as it does not let anyone who wasnt involved to 'share' their opinion, which is not needed nor wanted. :)

Well that just seems like a unpleasant forum and community to be a part of. It seems as if you would get abused for saying the wrong things. And as raven says come along and play on the UK assault server always good to get more nice players on there. Look forward to banning you for hacking

Contradiction or what?

'Despite the fact that I hate playing on their servers (too many children'
'I'm currently paying somebody to save my schoolwork'

Surely this makes him a child of some kind... ?

Its a good job we all know how awesome you are here in your home community :D

I found this sentence from Stealthyowned.GoG very.......well unprofessional and voicing some sort of personal vendetta and feelings,
"Next time you decide to hack in our servers, whether or not you are, think again as we will find you and you will be banned."
An admin saying that he/they will ban you even if you don't hack is preposterous. Also an a side note, assault is the EASIEST map to wall spam people.

I really don't understand your reaction. He was wrongly banned, they got no proof, so they unbanned him after he pledged his case on their forums... What's so different with the way we handle it ? They were a bit more rude, swore a bit more than us too, let's say a bit less "professional" but tbh I don't really see what's wrong with getting unbanned after being wrongly banned.
We may have a bit higher standards, but I don't think they are ruling a company like SpawnPoint is, that's probably the difference.
Still there is a forum where you can ask to be unbanned when you feel you were wrongly banned, and for what I understand in that thread the admin has to record a demo and submit it when he bans someone. I don't play on this server but that doesn't seem that bad.
:confused1:

I have a lot of respect for you Abo. It amazes me how you replied each time in such a calm manner. O and... SP ftw?

Some people can't handle it when they get killed 5 times in a row and therefor they'll ban you with a non-valid reason. Happend to me several times aswell. Just stay calm and remain friendly and they'll lift your ban.

Good job, AboAly.

I had no problem with staying on their ban list, if they think I'm a hacker and perm. banned me then they would have lost one of their decent regulars and few of his online friends. I also was very clear that I respect the fact that they do have a forum to appeal the ban and that they require proof.

But my point is very clear, I've dealt with such incidents on various occasions using Spawnpoint's policies and common courtesy as my guidelines so did other staff members over the years, do I really need to point out the difference.

Anyways I'll give my ping another try on the UK assault see you there.

One of the reasons we handle RAI threads the way we do is because very often it will be a users first contact with the forums and community. If they get responded to quickly, fairly and in a polite way they will form a good impression of SP as a whole, even if they were initially wrongly banned. This makes it more likely that they stay on the servers and forum. I'm pretty sure quite a lot of our members first posts were ban appeals.

It's also just the right thing to do if someone has taken the time to register and appeal, innocent until proven guilty and all that.

You appealed and you got unbanned which I suppose is the main thing.

well my first post wasn't about a ban :) was actually to report hackers after i had initially submited a demo directly to steam forums before finding the sp forums:tongue: but i have to say from my job spawnpoint is by far the most professional any gaming community could ever be......there will never be a better gaming community:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Ive had this problem with a few communities (thinks back to C-servers) where they ban you on an assumption, and sometimes even with adequate demo evidence they still ban you cos there admins are incapabable of reviewing demo's properly.

This is one of the reasons I came to spawnpoint cos they didnt ban me for having skill on assault, and the community is just a huge plus.

Atleast you got unbanned dude, just try not to own the admins too much lol.

Long live SP!

Listen, I'm going to go right out and say it, if you don't like the servers rules, then don't play there.  The rules are simple, not hard to follow, and if you get banned, then you probably
1. cursed after a warning
2.hacked
3.being disrespectful

These rules are almost the same all throughout most servers.
