I love the zombie mod but dang is my hand sore from firing [:@]I'm always on the lookout for the best spot to hold off those head-falling-off knife-hacking speed-cheating zombies
![]() We are going to get some rules posted for this mod at Spawnpoint and would like some imput. There area few rules that are already being implemented...(other than the non-server specific Spawnpoint rules which are always there) 1. no respawn camping as a zombie 2. don't block people on purpose that are trying to get up/in whatever. I have seen this frequently and the punishments have been getting harsher and harsher. 3. no vent camping downstairs 4. knocking down other people's baracades or access ways to their "zombie hold off positions" (like the vending machine to get to roof) is frowned upon. It is not a rule yet, but only a jerk would do this. 5. glitching is allowed for the time being as zombie mod is all about finding the perfect place to hold of the zombie hordes.

All seem good to me
We also have the no spawn killing rule, which is often disputed. It is obvious if you are a zombie in the spawn and are stabbing anything you see, but what if you are a human who just ran out of spawn to get a spot? My suggestion is, that if you are a human, and begin to shoot the zombie, you are fair game.

see i don't know, because most other zombie mods, once you die as a zombie your gone for good, this one lets you come back, which is weird n kinda makes the game go on forever
also i'm sad to see the vending machine thing, because man i loved pissing hitman off by leaving him down there with the rest of us humans up on top of the roof ![]() |

I have a slight beef with our zombie mod servers, and here's what it is:
I've seen other zombie mods that give the zombies all like 450 health points, and then once those 450 points are gone, they're gone and done for, no more life, and there were also bullet counts, which makes it more fun and challenging. Our's, well, the humans have unlimited ammo, so basically, all you have to do is just buy a Para, find a spot to camp, and blast away at the zombies until they're all dead, cause the zombies can't get close to you, and there is relentless bullets flying at them, making it impossible to advance. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, I think it would make our servers a lot more fun just as long as we take away the unlimited ammo bit, so that it will take teamwork for both the humans and the zombies to kill off each other, instead of being a constant spray fest for 2 minutes straight.

yeah... i don't think so. we want populated servers right? well guess what? they're populated 18+ hours a day.
i think the current formula is working. when numbers drop then we'll discuss alterations to gameplay. as for rules; i setup some adverts a couple weeks ago that state "SPAWNCAMPING/KILLING WILL GET YOU KICKED" and "CONTINUED LOWER VENT CAMPING MAY GET YOU KICKED" - i dont have issue with camping the vents once every few rounds, just not ad nauseum.

Well myself and Ghost played on the Zombie mod 1 server last night for a while and what a fun time was had!
We decided to play the "use the admin as a step ladder" game to help loads of players onto the red box / roof / fuel trucks and people really appreciated that. The "nospawn killing" is hard to enforce. At one point last night i was running thruT spawn as a zombie when a newly killed player spawned right in front of me. I retreated into a corner to allow the guy to "run away" but he thought it better to blast at me with a glock LOL. In this situation are we free to "retaliate"? We did enforce the "no blocking" and "no knocking down peoples barricades" and my pet hate "stop standing on my bl**dy head" rules and soon most people knuckled down to a thouroughly enjoyablegame. I hope we can have many more like it and i'd like to thank Ghost for helping make the game enjoyable for all. Rob PS is it possible to restrict the Para as above? I think it would bring slightly more balance to the game. And while we're at it an afk kicker would help too. thanks in advance.

I do as well with the mp5 as the para because it is easier to have all the bullets hit and stop the zombie advance. A couple of guys with p90s barracaded in a room are as bad or worse then ones with paras. If enough people don't want them, I don't see a problem with getting rid of them. One thing to think about though, if you get rid of too many guns, the server traffic might fall off.....

I can understand that Xtreme.
The problem, I think, is when you turn into a zombie, that it becomes very hard to get at the humans with guns constantly blasting at you, preventing you from advancing, and if you try to force your way through, you lose all your health and die. It would be nice to bring a little more balance to the force, that way it will be a lot more fun, and if it's fun, I don't see why people wouldn't go in there and play. Then again, my idea of fun might not be someone else's, so I guess I'll STFU and GTFO of this thread now....

no understeer u had the right concept. i hate when i turn into a zombie cuz u get shot from like all directions. the only way i try to win is by dieing and changing back into a hman and camping with a weapon i find on the ground.

To get a group of humans, the zombies have to mass and all charge at once. More often than not, a human will get greedy and get too close to an edge or a window, and you can "harvest" them
![]() What I like to do, if I am the only zombie left and the humans have had enough time to get a place set, is that I hide in the tunnel to the left of the stairs that lead to the basement. Once again the humans will get greedy, and I will suprise them to get a few kills. Then again, thats just me ::cough:: ranked third ::cough cough:: ![]()

Soma, one thing on zombie mod 1 that is becoming a problem, is the tk punishment option. At the very end of a round, every once in a while if you kill someone after the time runs out, you are considered a tk'r by the server and the person tk'd gets the menu for what todo to you. There are of course noobs that choose timebombs, firebombs and freezebombs.....could we get this removed? Also, on another note, the famas is restricted...according to d.o.c....is there a good reason for that? I have had requests to restrict the para, but other guns work better than that one so I don't see what the problem with it is.

i think the para gets annoying, if ur using that thing cool beans for you, go ahead hold the fire button down and stand there...
not my idea of fun but then again i'd chase them zombies down with my knife out and take 'em all on one by one |
