spawnpoint servers, lag, ping, etc.

I'm no network expert, and I can't say I know anything about causes, but I have noticed in the past month or so that server lag on at least spawnpoint's pwnd assault server is going through the roof. more and more people are lag hopping all over the place. It isn't at all uncommon for me to come in and see almost half of the pings over 100.

Before folk say that this is a problem coming from my end, let me say that I ping fine on pwnd assault (usually in the 60s), have only been really experiencing this problem on this particular spawnpoint server, and that other people have talked to me in-game about it becoming a problem.

Has anyone else noticed this in spawnpoint administration? Is there anything that can be done. I know that currently you have the autokick set at 350 ping, which seems rather on the high side. Just curious, and thx. ^_^

Thank you for letting us know that, now what is your INCIDENT?

The server's ping kicker is set that high, so that our European buddies can come over for a game... About all the SP server have a ping kicker set for about 300... and agree the server might need a reboot, but you should also check your end... no downloads or uploads running?

Sorry, I wasn't sure where to post this.

The server is the 24/7 assault server that PWND plays on. I can never remember IP addresses. And no I do not download stuff while I'm playing. Like I said, I don't lag elsewhere, and other people have been talking about it becoming a problem as well.

i have also had unusually high ping on the pwnd assault server, it's the 108.4 server. i normally get around 60 ping (running net_graph 3) and as of late my ping has been upwards of 200 sometimes 250. and just like norm i ping fine on any other spawnpoint server i.e. the gungame server i normally ping anywhere from 40 to 60. so there is definitely something wrong with the connection on 108.4. just letting you all know norm isn't the only one
