Can You Edit Demos

Does anyone know if it is possible to edit demos. Often when I am recording a demo of a hacker it can get quite long. I know that I can record multiple small demos but this can be a pain.

I want to know if I can take a demo I have recorded and make it shorter, or edit parts out. I'm asking this because I feel sorry for the anti cheat team when I submit a demo and they have to watch a guys shoot a wall for 3 minutes before he does something they need to see.

You could always just tell them the time where they did something suspicious, and they could fast forward.

yes i could but editing would also help with file sizes.

The problem would be that your "doctored" demo could be deemed to have been construed in some way mate.

The anti cheat team can't accept pictures for te very same reason.

I don't think that one edit can demos. I tried opening one of my demos using Vegas Video (video editing software), and it told me it was an unsupported file format. VV is universal, too, so that makes me think that demos can only be opened and viewed through the program they were recorded on. Now that I've said this, though, I'm sure someone is going to post a reply proving me wrong.

you can take parts of your demos and turn them into a movie, including only the clips you want but this is likely a much more drawn out process than you want.

I think it is best to show the whole thing, that way there wont be any doubt that it was just a lucky shot or something
