Thank you for being interested in donating all your money to me, and yea thank you for letting me kill you on a daily basis on the Da server. Sorry guys I just can't help to try this every time someone asks this question :P

But kidding aside Cube, keep the good attitude you've shown on the server and post more around here ( and around th Da forum if I'm allowed to ask this ), and when the time comes I don't see why you shouldn't get an admin when the staff reviews your good record.

I sometimes don't know how I even got it. I'm a bit of an ass, and I've submitted few demos. but I do my job, and am a fair admin. I think spawnpoint admins need to get a taste of your personality, understand that when you get admin you won't go on an insane ban frenzy or do something to harm the community. I joined thinking, okay when I see those hackers I can ban them, so I can carry on gaming as usual. No, you do more, watch people, "GET OFF THE ROOF", "STOP CAMPING", "Please don't argue ", "No abuse plz", "no swearing!".

well i go on zm a lot and almost everytime i gon on there is some sort of hacker.most of the time a speedhacker and i cant do anything about it....wat should i do

Record a demo with status typed into the console so all the players' Steam ID shows up, then click around until you're in first person view mode on the hacker's screen.

Then once you've got enough evidence of them hacking, type stop in the console to stop the demo from recording, and then send the demo into hacker@spawnpoint.com

That's the first step towards you being looked at for being an admin somewhere

Typically, in order to be an admin on the SP sponsored clan servers, you have to be a member of the clan. The clan leader in turn contacts SP for additions. Not every clan member has admin though, again, that's up to the clan leader(s).

how do i recrod a demo?? cause i never did that before.so do i need to type something in the consule?

I think thats a nice idea, but hackers need to be fighten in realtime and not 5 days later, than such man are going from server to server if they got banned and there´s no time to wait if there is someone cheating. Spawnpoint needs more admins to control the games in realtime. Thats the reasons wh i applied for admin

I don't think that's the case Thomas.

Even if an admin IS on server, normal server admins only have the ability to ban a player for 24 hours and only from the server they have admin on.

So even if you ARE an admin and ARE on server you STILL need to submit a demo of every hacker that is banned. Also, the ban button is ONLY to be used if it is 110% certain that the player is hacking.

Spawnpoint does not operate a "ban until proven innocent" policy (contrary to what some people believe).

Also for your information the ACTF is currently down to between 24 and 48 hours for the majority of demos submitted.

Just as matter of interest Thomas how many demos have you recorded and sent in to Spawnpoint when you have seen a hacker? Or do you work on "i'm not an admin so why should i bother" mentality??

It is amazing how many people do not understand that an admin MUST demo a hacker BEFORE he is banned. Then and only then, can an admin ban a hacker, and that is ONLY if the admin is 110% sure that he is using a cheat!

So everyone out there, if there is a blatant hacker in the server and the admin is in spec mode, do NOT start yelling for us to ban him. We must follow procedures to ensure that this hacker is:

1) cheating (using cheats)
2) proven to be cheating~we need evidence for the ACT to globally ban the cheater from ALL spawnpoint servers.

There are so many ways that people can help (not just admins). Please feel free to read my blog on some helpful suggestions on what you can do and should not do while in game!

I do not really think it is amazing that people do not understand. The way this community operates is different than most public servers in that Spawnpoint is interested in being correct in their judgement regarding cheaters instead of just reacting to the masses. This is what attracted me to the community in the first place.

When I do catch a blatant cheater, particularly if people have been screaming for a ban, I sit out a round and explain through admin chat how our process works. Unless these players come and register on Spawnpoint, how else would they know? It would be nice if everyone who played on the servers came and registered here, but that simply does not seem to be the way things work.

I agree dwinx! I dont know how many times ive been watching someone and the whole server goes nuts,tips the guy off and he leaves...then they are like why didnt u ban him and i have to explain....GunGame most of the regulars will take demos and box me to ask for me to come help and watch with them so they arent mistaken...then i will ban...Its kinda nice for all the ones that dont really have an idea there are so many that do Its sure appreciated!

I'm on a lap top, how do i record demos, because we have had person after person, spam zombie 3 no admins, I want too try for it, i've owned 2 of my own servers 1 in dod 1 in css, but got rid of them, help me out here, I thinking you need more admins, I'm online 15 hours a day so I know I could do alot, just drop the answer please, thanks
