costom map wont show...

I know this question is on a few peoples mind, because I'v had two people ask. Im a user of Hammer Editor, and made a few maps. I thought that one was pritty good so i wanted to shar it, i'v tryed the create map button but then everyone said they diden't see it on the master server list. I also tryed to make a dedicated server, but when i tryed to tell it to go to my map, it wasent there. is there something I need to download, or something I'm doing wrong? Also I'm a n00b so please post some simple solution, if the solution isent simple I'll do my best to under stand it...

Well despite the utter chaos you have done to the English language, I will help you anyways. The reason you cannot switch to your custom (Note the U in custom) map is because you most likely did not upload it to your dedicated server. Tell your server to goto map "cs_BadGrammar" won't yield results because it does not have cs_BadGrammar as a valid entry.

How do I upload my map? Like I said I’m a noob and I don't know much about the game.

you have to find out where hammer is saveing your map too the BSP not the vmf. most likely if you have it configured for CSS it should be in your css maps look for it there should be C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\your account name\counter-strike source\cstrike\maps look around in there for your map
good luck also if the map isent there you had a compile error and your map wont compile period so if its not there try and fix any leaks in your map.

I know where my file is, but how do I get it into the dedicated server? I have never done this before, so I need step by step instructions the first tome around...

you need to copy and paste it into your dedicated server folder
shouldent be that hard if you know how to run a server

It worked your help is much appreciited, the map is called sb_barges_v1. All are welcom to try it.
