hey why not let people us skins on spawnpoint servers

i have a few skins id like to use but there is no menu to select your skins from when you join the server is there a way to bring this up and if there isnt could you make it so there is?

there is never a menu
to instal skins you just have to drop your dled files into the models folder

i no of several ppl who use skins in Spawnpoint, some skins arnt allowed because of well.....i dont no but mostly all are allowed i no because i use a few. The site i use is Fpsbanana.com it works for the servers i have played in only one time it said i couldnt enter a server because of a faulty skin so if you no how to properly set it up then use the site and things should run smoothly if not reply on what happens

1.) vac cannot detect or ban you for any sprites, models or scripts ( HLG can, but as far as i know spawnpoint servers dont run hlg)
2.) as far as I know there are no rules at Spawnpoint that would prevent you from using any skins
3.) I already gave you a link which explains everything in you need to know about adding your skins

Model skins while fun, I feel ruins the spirit of gameplay.

I know of several people who use bright skins to be able to find enemies in obscure locations in darker maps/areas.

How does this help improve ones self? It really doesnt, those are usually the people who need the esteem boost I find unfortunately.

This is not to say everyone who uses model skins are looking for an advantage BTW, but most are.

lol, I know those
if you wanna be a truly leet h4x0r you could use the command torender all the walls white ( forgot the command myself )and use those skins
I find that using those kind of method really takes away from the gameplay since the graphics will be so damn awful

Whitewalls is not an available command for use in our servers. SV_CHEATS must be set to 1 for whitewalls, Spawnpoint servers are all sv_cheats 0.

Some servers have special skins that can be selected from a menu when joining a team.Some RPG Deathmatch servers for examplemight have HL1 player skins instead of CS:S, to give it a more deathmatchy feel. This menu is generated by a plugin the server is running. To my knowledge, spawnpoint does not have any servers running the appropriate plugin for these menus.

Some of our servers may have Admin models available, which come with Mani, but these are only available for admins.

Note:
Use of weapon skins in SPAWNPOINT servers is not against our rules. UsingWhite-Walls or Fullbright commands, or using no-smoke style skins and scripts however may get you banned from our network.

Though certain skins and modsare not against our rules, things like flourescent models and some scripts may give you an unfair advantage in a server, and can easily be mistaken for a cheat.

We had the admin skins on the london gungame , the mani menu came up at the start to ask if you wanted the admin skin or one of the normal ones.
What actually happened is, if you are an admin you were given the skin whether you wanted it or not [&:]Now apart from everyone targeting you because you were 1. admin and 2.easy to spotanyone joining the server knew there was an admin in and that stopped a lot of hackers , racists and general troublemakers from beingbanned.
Not to mention the rows an rows of red scripts that were all over your console when you opened it up. Something in the skins didn't quite get on with the rest of the source.

The command for fullbright is sv_fullbright but the server needs to have sv_cheats set to 1 for it to work.
