Default ad causing lag?
OK so this ad (picture at the bottom) seems to lag teh web page. I've confirmed this with pwnzer and she gets it too. When that ad is on the page if i do a quick reply and i start typing it lags so i type something and it wont show up for like 5 seconds. Also when scrolling through the site if that ad is on it jumps. Its only this ad! So its not my computer.

i am too but its the shear fact that when it goes from the original greenish picture to the silver one shown like it lags teh page its really weird im about to demo it lol!

Rofl your going to Demo an add on a website? o.O :P

I would help you block the advert 'cos I know a few tricks but not sure if I like you PHXX guys I never last 5 minutes hehe :P

If your using Firefox then you can get an addon which is called addblocker or something along those lines, then if you right click the add or go into its options you can select what pictures/Adds you want it to block.
If your not using Firefox then go and bloody get it IE AOL and Netscape suxor! :P

And if you don't take my advise I will make my 1" rox your sox! *roar*

Oh yeah and get FasterFox, Thats pretty cool for speeding up page load speeds, (1.5s on this pages loading time) thats with my gf's brother playing WoW on his PC :P

OK so after some testing I found out this. On one page I was viewing there was the Conan ad both on top and bottom my CPU usage was 0-10 then the next thread SAME things running but this time one of those ads only at the top! I got 0-40 it only became more than 10 when that transition occurred. If both ads are on top and bottom CPU usage reaches 80 with all the same programs running. Sometimes over 90 so yea it’s the ad and I did task manager and it was iexplore taking up all the CPU.

I don't get the lag.

Even when the add is top and bottom.

It does lag my work pc however as it's not powerful

Yeah I didn't think I got lag but I just opened up 10 Threads on my PC and tried to quick reply some topics and couldn't type at all. I gave up on waiting for my message to appear.

Maybe it is the advert then :S
