Hi, I use the www.spawnpoint.com/searchbanned.php feature alot. I use it when I go through my demos to send in, so I don't send one in that another person has already sent in.

Why is there a limit of searches you can do at once? It just told me to try again later because I reached the maximum searches or something.

Edit: This is what it says
"You have reached the limit to the number of searches you may perform. Please try again later."

Can you guys take the limit off? Or make it higher? I think i've only searched about 10.

Our ban list is very valuable, if you think about how much time, in terms of man hours recording and reviewing demos, it has taken to get nearly 6000 SteamIDs on there I'm sure you will understand.

The reason we have the limit is to prevent the list from being "stolen", if there was no limit on searches it would be possible to design some software to systematically search though the list and know exactly which IDs are on. Steambans operates a limit for the same reason.

We could make the limit higher, but not too high. Feel free to suggest how many you think would be acceptable for your purposes.

Whats the limit now? I'd say just add maybe 10 to the limit.
Do you have to wait 10 minutes to do the limit again, or an hour?

I'm pretty sure they're trying to keep this as much on the DL as possible...
