Hacker list

Now that we have hackers caught on our name thingy, we dont get the hacker list anymore from phil (who did a great job at it). I was wondering if we could get a list/tab where the hacker list was cause i would like to see where among the spawnpoint community i lie when it comes to hackers.

no he used to do it once a month on the 10th but phil stopped now that we have the hackers caught thing. I would just like a constant updating list

It also takes a few days probrobly to generate the list saying that he is also reviewing demos at the same time.

Maybe link it somehow so that you can click on the persons 'hackers caught' and it'd turn to a page with a list of players they caught? I'm sure this wouldn't be that difficult to add, since i'm assuming that the number itself automatically updates as hackers get caught.

i have an idea have an auto updating list of names and how many they have caught but i prefer just knowing how many i have caught versus how many cpnichol caught

I don't understand the demand for a list now that it shows under peoples names....

It's not a race and there are no "prizes" for banning cheats (other than knowing they won't get back on).

In all probability it wouldn't be difficult to set up a data base to auto update when the number under your name changes but it is not high up on the list of priorities

I was, at one time, wanting a list to see which servers the hackers were being banned from in that, when you submit demos you need to pick the server location.

In the future, when someone isn't that busy this might be able to be implemented

I would agree Raven. I'd be very much interested to see the number of hackers caught in particular/all servers. Who caught them is not important. This would give us a sense of what servers may need an extra pair of eyes, or some more frequent "visits" by the "cull brigade"

Seeing that more hackers in a server were caught more than in one other doesn't always mean that admins don't do there job well, in the server that there was less hackers caught. The DM server is known to have a lot of hackers, almost 1 daily and if you compare it to the Tin Shack, 1 hacker .... a month ? Because SP-BOT Yahn can't be banned for wallhacking and aimbotting, that's right less people = less hackers.

Very true, except the bit about it not being a race, it is and I'm winning. Joking, it's just a constant battle to keep cheats off the servers, it's a team effort.

The reason I started doing the list was to encourage people to send demos of cheats in and to say thank you to those that did. Now we have the hackers caught stat on the forum it didn't seem to be necessary.

I suppose it would be possible to add the hackers caught stats to the list of searchable criteria in the members list, currently you can sort by reputation and number of posts. But like Raven said it's not going to be a high priority at the moment, the dev team already have a lot to do.

I've always wondered how long you keep the hacker's Steam id and in-game name (e.g., for the Report an Incident thread). The reason is that I would like to see the in-game names of all hackers banned (e.g., past month, past 6months, past year - what ever would be reasonable). The reason for this is a number of times I was convinced someone was hacking but either I couldn't see enough to prove it after specing or the Anti Cheat Team didn't feel 110% that he/she was hacking. Especially if someone (the suspected hacker) is sort of a "regular" on a specific server and then all of a sudden they don't show up anymore. I start thinking that maybe someone else, with better anti cheat skills, pick up on thier hacks.

Sit in the evolutiongaming.nl server for a few hours and i guarente you get 5 or more lol its overloaded.

It would be cool to have the list, but as Raven and others said, we already have the number of hackers demoed under our names and phil / management went the extra step to get that there.

People like stats, maybe make it a competition. It should be able to automate it now.

like i stated before i could careless who has caught how many hackers except for with cpnichol because he has the most so no need to make a list.
