ZERO Tolerance Servers

I was on a server last night (soz forgot 2 take down the name) who in my opinion had a great concept for server rules...Zero tolerance!! The concept is they don't warn, argue or even entertain swearing, cheating, spaming, camping etc. basically when you enter and click OK on there rules/conditions thats it. It's not quite that bad because if you get kicked you get a message "you may reconnect 1 more time if you continue to break our rules you will receive a 24 hr ban" theres no "why did u kick me argue cr*p etc." as the admins don't need 2 reply. Also when you re-connect a automated message comes up "You have been kicked for contravining (spelling) the servers code of conduct any futher contravention will result in a 24hr ban - enjoy your stay" So basically if you agree to there rules and then break them it's game over..simple easy and clearly stated.

Yes that would solve a lot of problems, but it would cause many at the same time, too many to deal with.

I've seen servers like that before.

What do you do with the "foreign" players that don't understand fully the English language.

Also, if you admin correctly, you don't argue with anyone on server anyway lol.

I reckon Spawnpoint is as popular due to the server adminning set up that we have.

Yes, must agree to that too. The admin set up here leaves servers with out admins a very small amount of time. Also I allow anyone to add me as their friend on steam so if there is anyone breaking the rules or ruining the game for people, all they have to do is send me a message.

Don't get me wrong only when a admin is in game can he instigate these instant kicks stating that they broke the server rules. It's not an automated system that sences a problem. Its just that I feel that it just makes it easier for admins to control the situation. A bit like a football match, when u start playing you know the rules you signed on the dotted line knowing the terms and conditions...step out of line and your off, no arguing with the ref his decision is final.
As for the foreign players I've been on many a server where they don't care that i don't understand french etc. And anyway how does that change the current situation, if you kick someone for being out of line and they retaliate in their own language with needless banter they still don't understand what your saying when you reiterate in english & finally kick them.
You could take it 1 step further..when they try to join a third time a message could come up stating "You have been banned for 24 hr due to conduct unbecoming of a spawnpoit player, if you feeel you have been treated unfairly please post your case at www.spawnpoint.com enclosing demos etc." or words to that effect. This way an admin can carry on doing his job and not worry about a decision that he has made previously. I've seen many an admin spend easily 5-10 min warning some plonka do it again and you will get banned or I kicked you because...
OK soz now i'm going on to much.. just thought it might help some admins control a increasing problem that is really difficult to manage..

But in football you don't get sent off unless the offence was serious pooman

The referee blows for fouls and free kicks all the time and normally warns and then books players first

Also if an admin spends 5 - 10 mins warning an @sshat then he's taking waaaaayyyyy too long LOL

Must Admit very true

But like you said the ref blows for a foul /free kick thats what the "quick kick does". You get a warning hense the RE-JOIN with a stern message do it again and your off (sort of yellow card) get a red card and you have a 1 game suspension. But the Ref doesn't need to explain why he did it. The player knows he's commited an offense and he must play the game according to the rules. Then again it's not football where playing so maybe I'm being a bit harsh.... (they get paid 4 playing..wish we did) lol
