New Forum Layout!!!!

its horrbile done. Not being an @ss but it is. I hate the sub forums. Anybody else think the same? go back how it was plz or let us choose 2 layouts. normal (like before) and compact (like it is now).

I'm not one for major drastic overnight change! lol I guess it'll take some getting used to...but I did like the old way better. Now you have to click, click and click just to get to something that was easily visible and accessible yesterday....ugh

What would you change? Just the ability to have the nested forums fully expanded?

like the feature how you want threads to be displayed.

yea like an option in user cp where we can select what we want it to be compact and one extended like everything out of a sub forum. That would be best. Like how it was before i loved it cause i can scroll and see every new thread with out clicking on sub forums to actually see if there something i want to read. And yes horribly done whatever lol.

Seeing that I join the forums and use either 'new posts' or 'quick links' i was first confused as to what the changes were exactly! lol

So no real major differences or drastic changes for me... just looks the same as it always did

Having 'explored' and discovered the new 'sub forums' - seems ok to me!
It allows for expansion of the forum (ladders!!!) and is more 'ordered' - look at it like a 'filing system'

Also, just like supermarkets often rearrange their shelves. This isnt done to inconvenience the customer, it actually has a very useful purpose!

Being quite clean and organizational, I had to clean up the "mess" that Weaver created with mass forum adding. It's kind of like when a wet dog comes into the house, and shakes itself dry of rain and mud, on the carpet.

Nonetheless - I nested forums that were associated with each other in more general categories.

The new layout, at least the first section - is cleaner and more inviting to our newer members, while the below sections have been broken down into:

PC Games, Console Games, General Gaming (Other), Game Servers, and Non-Gaming.

Expansion is really the key here, and this is why the changes happened... let me know if they are totally unbearable... after 24 hours - Many other large forums are extremely successful with similar layouts.

Ok it's been about an hour...and I'm getting used to it! Kinda see what you're talking about...organization. I also figured out (genious lol) the orange and blue boxes next to the subforums! It def. will take ME longer than the average person to get used to it....but overall...it's working for me right now. I'm not getting overly excited here....but I'm seeing the differences!

personally i think the new froum layout is good it has the more important things to get to and the things i look alot less at as subforums and i didn't really like the old layout it seemed kinda messy to me as well with lots of the different forums all there. anyway cool i like it

The new layout is much better. I have no complaints. Yes it may take some getting used to but it is more organised and its easier to find things now.

I'd also "suggest" reducing the "console Games Forum" in the same way as the FPS and MMO
