Why is the MP5 restricted?

I've always wondered why the MP5 was restricted in the zombie server... I mean its my favorite weapon to use against zombies. I've heard others on why its restricted because of its accuracy and blowback. So, if anyone can give me a straight answer on why the MP5 is restricted on that server I'd appreciate it :)

I guess because it gives you an advantage above other players. That's the most common reason for restricting a weapon.

The accuracy of the MP5 is very good, even better than most of the other weapons in Counter Strike: Source.

The blowback of the MP5 is also very nice. When you're camping on the red crates in lila for example, it's impossible for the zombies to get on because of the extremely strong blowback.

The recoil of the MP5 is very low. What I mean with this is: When you spray with it, your gun won't go up a lot, like it goes with the P90 and AK47 for example. This is very useful for short, but also for longer distances. Almost a 100% guarantee for headshots if you aim for it.

The range of the MP5 is pretty high. What I mean with this is: How far the bullets will go without losing damage. The MP5 has a high range so it's great for medium/long distances. This gives you an advantage above players with an Assault Rifle.If I'm mistaken, please state. Think this is right though.


I wouldn't mind it being unrestricted either though, haha!

the accuracy of the mp5 at long range is poor so therefore it aint a long range weapon. mp5 is a smg. smgs are almost always cqc/medium range weapons. as far as mp5 being restricted is probably cuz it is 1 of the cqc/medium range weapons in the game cuz of its accuracy and its ability to eat thru armor. as well as its low recoil

Death trust me when I say that "in the hands of someone who uses it a lot the MP5 is a brilliant weapon at long range" it just takes practice
