Question for Spawnpoint Pwnd Clan Admins

Who banned me, and why?

I wasn't swearing or bypassing the swear filter, I wasn't hacking in any way, shape, or form, and I certainly wasn't badmouthing an admin. Heck, while scouting the only person I even consistently killed was [BAMF]jmoore; I also use scouts almost exclusively, so yeah I'm fairly good at them. I play on the PWND clan's 24/7 assault server all the time, and never once have I been even kicked for behavioral, much less banned.

I didn't get any warning, there was no scolding, it was a simple few (I thought joking) comments by a comple NOtm clan players and I find myself kicked and banned at about midnight last night. The name I was using at the time was "8mm".

If it's a stupid joke or just for fun, now would be a real good time to come out with it. If not, it's an even better time to come out with it.

Strange.. i never heard anything about anyone banning a player. In ventrilo we always say who we banned and why so either it was a misunderstanding or a reason hasn't come out yet, to me at least. Can you give us more info please? Admins name who banned you, console logs, screenshots, anything because i know that my admins dont ban for no apparent reason. Thanks hope we can get this figured out :-)

That's just it. There aren't any screenshots, I don't know what admins were on at the time; I had just killed someone (jmoore in this case) and got kicked/banned. I wish I could offer any information, but the best I could say is, if it's possible, check any log records between 11:55-1:05 EST. If that's not possible, I'm at as much a loss as you Bloodhawk.

Void, its always possible it was an accident. If an admin doesnt close mani-admin cprrectly, they may accentally do all kinds of things, banning included. Just throwing that possibility out there. Good luck mate.

The only reason I would hestitate to say it was an accident is becuase I don't know who the admin was; the people who didn't like the way I played (though I wasn't foot sniping, so that baffles me) were the NOtm folks, but others agreed with them, none of them I recognize as having admin power.

BUT... It appears I have access again; looks to only have been a temporary ban.

Sorry for the semi-false alarm guys. Thanks for tuning in regardless.

Hmmm, well I'm glad you are unbanned. I was on yesterday, but not around the time you are listing. NoTm can be a little mean sometimes, they aren't an official clan though. They try to enforce the rules when admins aren't on though.

I believe what he said was "though I wasn't foot sniping, so that baffles me" so I don't think he was banned for footsniping. Though I'm glad he is no longer banned.

Hmmm. I was in there last night after that time. We know your clean 8mm. Sometimes admins do press wrong buttons. *cough* Admins with fat fingers. I was on at like 1:30 AM EST. I did not see any people with admin on at that time so I cannot confirm who did what. I'll check up on that too because most of the people who have NoTM in their name are on my friends list.

I like the idea of accidental banning, I got a temporary ban months ago in similar circumstances to void, no explaination, unknown admin, and of course...no warning. For months I've wondered if I've annoyed off some admin or what could have possibly caused this incident. Now I will just assume it was an accident!
