Universally Banned from Spawnpoint

On 1 May, I was playing on PWND Clan Spawnpoint server, 24/7 Assault. Later into the night, a hacker joined the game, and soon after another. Both of them changed their names to other players' who were on the server at the time. One changed his name to "SharkPunch", one changed his name to mine, "Sexy Abe Lincoln!" I guess someone on the server knows an admin there IRL, and said he was on his way to ban the two hackers. He told everyone on theTerrorist sideto join Spectator, which most of us did, including me. Meanwhile the two hackers kept cheating, both were on the CT side.

When the admin got in a couple of minutes later, he told the real Sharkpunch he needed to disconnect from the server so he could ban the hacker who had changed his name to Sharkpunch. The real shark left the server, at which time I said I would leave too so I wouldnt get banned instead of the hacker.

I logged off for the night and came back in with my friends the next day to find I had been banned. We decided we'd play another Spawnpoint, which was when I found out I had been banned from all the Spawnpoint servers. I wasnt hacking, so I think the admin banned me on accident, or he thought it was me who had been hacking, even though both hackers were obviously still playing. They had speed hacks and auto-aim, and it was very obvious. Anyway, I'd just like to be unbanned so I can go back and continue enjoying Spawnpoint servers along with my friends. Thanks for the time.

The actual IP to the server was 69.90.108.4:27015.

The only way that you would be banned from all spawnpoint servers is if someone demoed you and submit it to the anti cheat team. Then the anti cheat team would review it and come to the conclusion on whether or not you were hacking.

Very few people have access to the global ban list, so it is next to impossible to say you were accidently added to it unless you were in fact found to be hacking.

I don't recall the name of the admin who came in to do the banning, but Sharkpunch knew him. If you'll ask SharkPunch, he'll attest to the fact that I was on the T team with him, the two hackers -did- change their names to mine and Sharkpunch's, and both CTs who were hacking -were- on CT the whole time. Therefore, and respectfully, it makes no sense that anyone could demo me playing during this incident, because as I said, Sharkpunch told everyone on his team to go Spec, which I did.

I understand you have a job to do, but this was a mistake, plain and simple. I've played in Spawnpoint servers for a long time, and I've never hacked in my life. To be honest, I'm not all that great at CSS, and nobody's ever even accused me of hacking.

I guess this is that .01% chance that something next to impossible could happen. I simply wasnt hacking, the facts of what I said prove that, and if anyone who was on T at the time sees this, they'll know everything I've said is true. Everything was said over the mic, so neither of the hackers could even have heard what we were saying, since they were on the CT team.

I was playing there at the time all of this happened, and the hackers were infact changeing their names to other peoples names and maybe somehow bobson got banned accidentally. Ive played with bobson since CSS came out, I know for a fact he does not hack, since hes so terrible =p.

Hello first off and thank you for comming here to post your incident. I was in fact the Admin who "came to the rescue", and was chasing those two guys around through 3 spawnpoint servers. I will go back through my demos and verify who's who. I apologize for the inconvience, and the wait, as I jsut got off of work, and got inside my house.....lemme walk the dog, and I will get right on this.

I will post again when I do my double checking. And again, I am sorry for the inconvience.

Thanks for writing, and I understand accidents happen. Hopefully when checking the records you'll see that this is all a mistake and that I wasn't hacking. =)

Alrighty, I went back through a console log that I took, looked at my demo....OPPS! Your off the Global Ban list. I did however add the idiot who took your name with the CORRECT STEAM_ID. You should be to go now. If you are still unable to connect, please repost in this thread. I will be monitoring and will jump in the server an unbann you from there (I will need the Server IP though and if you can post your steam id, I can just copy an paste -so I don't have to open a huge logfile/demo please). If you have anyother problems, please let me know.

Thanks a lot for the help, man. Not plannin on playin tonight, dunno if you're still on. But I figured I'd try and join a spawnpoint server before bed, since you got on this so fast for me. Still got the banned pop-up.

Thanks Bobson. I will go in an manually unban you. Forgot that there is a waiting time for the servers to redownload the global ban list, which on this new list, your steam id will not be there. As of this post, it is done. You can play an kill to your hearts content!
