You're right! This isn't a democracy nor does it have to be Weaver. Since you own it, you can do whatever you please with it. However, children often have arguments with their parents. I for one have had many arguments with my parents and never do they seem to admit to their faults. I admit I am not always in the right, but my parents need to realize that they are not perfect. For instance, I recommended to my dad that he should excercise more, eat less, and see a doctor about his health and cholesteral. He took it offensively and wanted me to get my nose out of his business. But you see, I did that because I cared about him. Sometimes children need to help out their parents you know? I just think that parents need to listen to their children more often rather than ignore them just because of their "rank." It never hurts to communicate a little and listen to the peons. But even moreso, it shows a lot of character when you heed the advice of others.

Now I don't know your situation with him, but I just thought I would share my thoughts because communication helps resolve conflicts.
