Admin abuse

Have been playing on the Spawnpoint Officefest CSS server for a couple of years now and am very impressed by it... Having admined my own servers for more than 4 years now i was disgusted to be kicked from the server for "mic spamming". i was kicked by an admin named Chucky with the U.E.A. tag on. I do not believe that i was mic spamming, in fact the incident happened when I was dead and i was merely discussing/ talking with the other players.

I then reconnected and argued my case and was muted. At that point i left because i refuse to play on servers where admin abuse is rife... I am only posting this here to warn the Spawnpoint staff of the incident because if one of the admins for my servers was behaving like that then I would want to know about it.

In cases where you believe an over zealous admin is taking our rules out of context or outright breaking the rules, please record and submit a demo of it in the future. It is against our rules to argue with admins in game, even if you are sure you are right. We absolutely do not take any actions against admins without proof for obvious reasons. If you don't know how to do this, look at the sticky at the top of this section with the name "How to report a hacker". The only difference is what you do with the demo. kk firstly I did not kick you for mic spamming, but after you got killed you were swearing which I warned you about. You then verbally abused me by saying that you would "GET MY ADMIN REVOKED" As argueing on the servers is frowned upon & you obviously would not let it go so I decided to mute you which is well within the server rules. You then disconnected and joined again to carry on from where you left off. At this point you were kicked, you are actually lucky not to get a ban to allow you time to cool off. For someone who admins there own servers for 4 years or so you should realise that, when on someone elses server, you should comply, at all times, with the server rules.

Now, when you connect every time to our Officefest server the first thing you see are spawnpoint.com general rules.

Two of them are "No Swearing" and "No arguing with admins".

You broke BOTH of them. Not only that but you openly admit that, having been kicked you then re-connected to "argue" your case.

This is not your server and our rules are there for a reason. I've noticed, recently, that a number of the Officefest regulars appear to reckon that, because they play on there "all the time" they can ignore our rules.

You were disciplined "correctly" by nikki as far as i'm concerned and should take this as a warning that by-passing our swear filter and arguing with our guest admins is not permitted.

Feel free to re-join our server whenever you choose. Just make sure you follow our server rules and admin requests.
