[Banned] i got banned :(

I was playing on a spawnpoint server running zombie mod (69.90.208.4:27015) and i was banned and I dont know why. And I dont know who the admin was.

My in game name is Norml and in the middle of the game the admin said not to advocate drug use because it is against the rules, and as a joke, and my heartfelt opinion, I said that marijuana is not a drug. He then told me not to argue with him and i said nothing more and about a minute later i get kicked. The spawnpoint server is my favorite zm server so i immediately rejoin. When I get back on I said that "I didnt argue with you and you still kicked me." and right after i said that i got perma banned...
please help I like that server

Your opinion about drug use is not our problem. Drug promotion of any kind is AGAINST THE LAW as well as against our rules. Arguing with admins is also against our rules. Only certain members of our high level staff can perm ban and those of us that have that power don't use it lightly.

Please post your steam ID so we can check it for demo submissions as well as for verification. Some admins like myself use them to tell apart people because of different alias' used ingame.

I was the admin that banned you. You had a spray that promoted drug use (marijuana). I asked you many times to not use that spray. You tried to argue with me saying that marijuana was not a drug (on this planet and reality it is) and you continued to use the spray. I kicked you after you did. You returned and used a different marijuana promoting spray. I then gave you a 24 hour ban.

#1 As XTR3M3 clearly pointed out, promoting drug use is not permitted.

#2 Arguing with the admin in the server is also not allowed.

#3 If you continue to break the rules after you have been warned several times then you can expect to be banned temporarily if not permanently from the SP servers.

Thank you for coming to the forums with your complaint. Please be mindful of the server rules in the future so that everyone including you can have a fun time.

midnight im sorry there was a miscommunication between us (on my end) i only realized this after you banned me again today. I didnt know my spray was what was in question. i see that it breaks server rules now and im sorry. I can argue that my spray does not promote drug use, but promotes an organization called no**l. Again this could be considered advertising witch might break your rules too... Even on the spray it says "Its not for everyone, But its not a crime" I dont think that that promotes drug use but objects to its current illegality.

I dont have another marijuana spray and i have seen many on the server but i can see how you might have confused that with mine.

ok after all that i came back to the forums to see what happened and i understand the problem now. Im not there to disrupt the atmosphere i was just using the spray that i have had for a long time and i will try to refrain using it on spawnpoint servers from now on.

and im sorry again for the miscomunication but at least i knew that arguing is against the rules and when i said "marijuana is not a drug" I meant it playfully and not to cause arguement.

ps. extreme "Drug promotion of any kind is AGAINST THE LAW" it may be against server rules, but expressing ones frustration for a federal law is in no way even close to being against the law. Your thinking of China.

This is not the United States, this is Spawnpoint.com. Express your dissatisfaction with illegal and brain cell frying drug laws somewhere else. You are still breaking rule #2, Don't argue with admins. Spawnpoint is not a place where freedom of speech is limitless. We reserve the right to limit certain kinds of speech including:
Drug use and promotion
Racism
Foul language
ect.
Spawnpoint is not a player democracy either. It, as an entity, listens to the community and its ideas. It is in no way obligated to allow things on its servers that it deems are not in its best interest. It does not modify any rule ingame. Rules can be found on the servers page of the website as well as in these forums like the Report an incident stickies.

Enjoy the servers. Follow the rules. If you have a political ax to grind, we have a Real politic forum for that. Don't do it in game.
