Dear Spawnpoint,

WTFhappened to 174.5????

Anyone who has ever played at 174.5 in the last year knows that I've been a consistent regular at that server. I would say I've been a respectable player and have been cool withlots of users in there. There've been times where there were ZERO admins at that server. There've been times when there were TEN admins on that server. There've been times where there were admins who had absolutely no qualifications whatsoever of being a responsible admin. But whatever the case, I never had any serious problems with anybody, admin or not, in that server (except Owned, but no one liked him). I've met a lot of cool players over the months and we usually had great times in that server, whether knife rushing, camping, or just straight owning. But I've recently realized that there are no regulars there anymore (except for just a few). It also came to my attention that just the overall talent of people who play in there has dropped severely.

But, from events over the last week or so, I now have lost a lot of respect for that server.

One incident was that I got kicked for typing in FAG. I have realized that Spawnpoint has cracked down on swearing (which just boggles my mind IMO, because although people now cannot type it, they certainly can say whatever they choose over the mic). BUT let's go over what really happened. It was already a crappy night at the server. This Tony admin has been specing and what not, which is fine, if he would actually do his job. He then made some lame poll about whether we would rather have another beer, another vodka, or we were already drunk.This obviously had absolutely nothing to do with the game and had no business being created. So after my third straight failed knife rush (the same guy killed me every round lol), I got frustrated and typed in fag. Now at the time, since I rushed, Tony and I were the only ones who saw it. He said something at the time like 'PLEASE DO NOT INSULT PLAYERS'. Having no idea about the new rules, I replied 'lol stfu', as in 'you're kidding right?'. Then all of a sudden I got kicked. When I returned wondering why the hell I got kicked, I was told for disrespecting an admin. I, in shock, said whatever, and stopped playing at the server.

Then yesterday, some friends of mine (who are admins) and I were camping the hostie room, because it actually can be a whole lot of fun. It has ALWAYS been legal to camp the hosties. Then NmE signed on, and got frustrated at what we were doing. He told us that we were not allowed to camp the hosties, which made no sense because it is legal. He would also never give us a reasonfor why we couldn't do it. He turned us into beacons, firebombs, and he even teleported himself there at the beginning of rounds to try and kill us. Is it just me, or can this be considered abuse? Eventually I was kicked, along with others, and although still annoyed, just tried to let it go. I actually tried to talk to NmE about this. He said he was pressured by players who were complaining, whichjust might have been the case. If he was forced into action, fine. I just wanted a legit reason, and it took me about an hour to get one. But then after this entire incident, at the beginning of every round, NmE would rush to the spot on top of the two crates next to the warehouse and spray through the wall next to the ladder to try and get cheap kills. And it just made me think. How is this NOT like camping the hostie room? They're both cheap, but both of them can be overcome. They are both legal, too. You can't tell me that the people that were killed were not mad about it. They were just as mad as they would've been if they got hostie camped. It gave me the impression that NmE wanted to play the gam

I know EXACTLY what stubbs is saying. A certain admin (whom i dont want to say his name unless asked of me) was using his admin powers the other night, to actually to place HIMSELF in a GLITCH!! Now if this were i or stubbs, we would have been automatically kicked. I still respect the server, but serious admin changes need to be made.

The outcome of that event has led one or 2 admin to think about resigning, which, is both unwanted and unfortunate.

The staff at Spawnpoint are working very hard to fix a few problems at the moment and i'd ask you to at least bear with them for a couple of days or so if possible.

It should be noted that "FAG" is a word that has / is being incorporated into the swear filter and, despite several people asking to the contrarty WILL be classified as a swear word and therefor against the spawnpoint rules.

I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with Tony on a couple of occaisions. He really is a good admin (we all have off days). Normal admin don't have the teleport ability on that server.

Stubbs shooting through the wall is NOT against te rules. Its a bit like the Terrorists shooting through the vent

Okay lemme put it this way warhawk, because ive certainly had enough of your demanding, bossy attitude, Tony D. You'l be happy as long as changes are made?! i personally (not talking for Spawnpoint or PHXX) dont give a fuck about your happiness or satisfaction, i havent seen you for months, but in the last 2 days where you have been very present in the servers I go to, you have been annoying, demanding and sometimes even disrespectfull. I couldnt care less about your happiness or satisfaction, you come to this forums defending someone with a VERY VERY bad reputation on Spawnpoint forums, then you go around defending other people, then you demand changes, and then you DARE treaten me in 174.5 ?! Who the fuck do you think you are?

You dont like that i have admin on that server, then from my perspective you are free to get your ass back to [da] server or PWND, but do not think you can treaten me again, or i will ban you. Actually NO.

No one on here looks "bad" No rules are going to be changed at all. Certain rules will be clarified as there are "anomolies" between one document and another.

If you actually took the time to read the spawnpoint rules available on these forums for anyone to peruse you will see that swearing will NOT be condoned by Spawnpoint.

If you're not happy with the way Spawnpoint servers are handled then there are approximately 15000 or so other servers out there. You are more than welcome to try them out.

Chizo is in fact correct we "normal" admin DO NOT have the teleport or change gravity ability on that server so Tony couldn't have set it to low gravity and most of us can't teleport to glitch points. I'm not even sure we have the "make vote" ability any more

I was trying to offer you a reasonable explanation as to what went on with NmE as there have been discussions in forums that you are NOT party to. However, your attitude sucks a bit mate and my "helpfulness" has waned towards you.

Warkawker, thanks for your understanding. 174.5 is going through a "demanding" time at te moment and Spawnpoint are working hard to resolve on-going issues at the moment. Thanks for your patience.
