Sorry if I missed a topic on this, but where do you ask to get unbanned from a Spawn Point server?

I was just in SPAWNPOINT.COM | FragFest East 2 SOURCE | DWP-OFF and I got banned for no reason (I'm assuming the person thought I was hacking).

RDL - you were suspected of hacking and demos were taken of you. They are being reviewed by the staff now. If you were found to not be hacking then you will be unbanned, but if you were found to be hacking then you'll need to find some other servers to play on as you'll be added to the global ban list.

OK. Sorry for have taking so long to reply to this post. I have reviewed this demo...here's what I see.

Using sv_cheats 1 and mat_wireframe 1/demoui an slowin this down way down.....I am callin this as I see it. And what I have seen, is that you are blatently walling. You do NOT discriminate who you are shooting when advancing around corners (using prefiring). There are other instances where you running through a hall and LOOK at the opposing team THROUGH THE WALL, track them, and KILL THEM.......sounds like cheating to me. Therefore, you have been tried and found guilty, applied to our Global Bans List. Please have a nice time cheating someplace else, and in the future, people don't like cheats...

Bullet, how can you seriously say this about me. I've played with you a lot in 24/7 assault and I try to be as fair as I can (evening teams etc). Why would I use cheats if I acted like that?

During the session I had on the server, I was VERY lucky. I was even surprised how good I was doing. If it seemed like I was walling, it was either I heard a sound, used the radar or used common sense.

Can I see this demo and pick it apart? I really like your servers and community and I would hate to get thrown out because I had a few rounds of luck. If not... well, all I have to say is you're making a mistake and I'll miss you guys.

I vouge for Rdl..Hes no hacker. Hes just Good and Skilled...

Im in that server about 24/7 too...Ive spec him...Hes just skilled.

Green to answer your question, as my personal opinion i think it should be possible, after (in this case) rdl proves he wasnt hacking.... and again, personally i think that the global ban list is like jail... once your in, you cant get out, and if you do, well lets just say its very rare.

Rdl, i hope the best for you, ive seen you playing in the 167.17 and didnt exactly like your attitude towards other players, but then again, most players dont like my attitude, so ill keep an open mind in this one and wish you good luck proving your innocence.

I appreciate the fact that you have come here an not blown up over this. Right now, another member is reviewing said demo. If I am wrong, I will erase the ban, and apologize here an to your face in game. I don't like being wrong, but will admit it when proven. When reviewing demos, I am impartial.....I take the fact that I have played with you before, and throw it away. I look at it through the eyes of an avid gamer who has been doing this for awhile.... and I try to be fair.

Im with rdl, i use to think of him as a hacker, but then i speced him and i saw that he is a really good player. He doesnt seem to do good all the time, i know that doesnt prove anything, but hes humman, hes not a hacker.

On a funny note, he could be a huMan and still a hacker, tho he couldnt be a huMan and still be a machine(for example)...but we all get your point.

Although it doesn't count for much, I'll also vouch for RDL. He has always helped keep the servers fair whenever I have seen him on, and he has respect, which is a lot more than you can say for a lot of other players out there. He is very good, but I have never seen anything that made me believe he hacks, even specing him. He is a regular, and I don't think he would hack and risk losing his favourite servers.

Ditto. I have seen some guys who were cheaters, and they have a hard time being nice. Rdl is the opposite - he finds it hard to be mean. He always helps people out in the server if they need it, he has taken it upon himself to help try and enforce the rules, and has NEVER (truly) been suspected of cheating. When he first came to the server, people kept complaining about him so we watched him continuously and he never showed any signs of using hacks. He has always had a good KDR, but never outstanding. I've seen PLENTY of fair players with much better KDR's than that (no offense).

As for the being able to track people through walls....was he constantly pointing at their head as they walked, or could it have been his awesome sound system (not sure what you have but w/e same difference). All I'm saying is that plenty of people use surround sound or headphones JUST so they can be able to do that sort of stuff. If I hear someone on the other side of a wall, I'm going to follow them with my cursor as best I can. If I get a chance to shoot at them, great. Sometimes I shoot blindly through the wall, and a lot of times I miss - sometimes I get headshots.

well I guess there are already people vouching for RDL, but I feel like I should be added to that list, I can't see any possible way he could be a cheater. He is always VERY careful not to stack teams (even if one team is outnumbered, but if he switched it would mean there are several good players on that team and they would be stacked, he will encourage somebody else to switch instead so it is as fair as possible) He plays really well, and doesn't care about his rank or his ratio, he does what is best for the server (teams etc.) that doesnt seem like the attitude of a cheater to me....and also whenever I die I usually like to spec him because I'm curious to learn some of his tricks and spots, cuz he's so damn good! and so, basically I've spent a lot of time spec-ing him purely out of curiousity, and I have never seen anything to make me suspicious.

not that this will be part of the deciding factor, but I know a lot of the other players, as well as myself are not willing to see RDL be banned, we were discussing it tonight, and I'm not the only one who will not be playing on the spawnpoint servers anymore if this is how you treat your regulars!

I guess I can't say much more! But it just doesnt make sense for him to have been cheating, and if there is even the slightest doubt then he needs to be unbanned!! and just keep any eye on him if you have to! I'm sure after an incident like this, everyone will be watching him wondering anyway, so you've all already put a black mark on his public image!

un-ban him!

Primo hi mate.

I'm sorry that you and a few other regulars feel that you would no longer play on the Spawnpoint servers if rdl stays banned.

I play (played)on server with rdl regularly and, yes i agree, he seemed a fair player with regards to team switching etc, etc.

However,

If the anti-cheat team upholdtheir decision then that's it mate. Hacking and cheating of ANY kind is unacceptable and, unfortunately, Spawnpoint does not work on a democracy basis.

If you and others feel that you can no longer play on Spawnpoint unless (if it turns out to be the case) a cheat gets to play too then so be it. You must be aware that sometimes the people you least expectof cheating get caught.

That's exactly how I feel as well.

He could be the nicest individual outside of CS:S playing, but he could be just doing that on here to throw folks like you guys off so he can go about hacking a
