hey, I got banned today after putting site names in my name (for a joke).
when I put meatspin as my name, I was asked to change it and not link to porn material, which, fair enough...

so I changed to "google.com" "spawnpoint.com" and then "xxxxxx.com" and I got banned after that, according to the console it was permanent...
any chance of an unban? I was only messing around, and having weblinks in your cs name isn't stated in the server rules...

well, hope to see you all again, it would seem a shame to be perm banned over something as petty as a website name in my cs name.

It was me that banned you. I got called in by another admin who was complaining that you and your clan mate were causing problems on server.

The events were pretty much as you said (I edited the address of your final name). Using our services to advertise other other websites is not allowed under our Terms of Service, although this isn't strictly enforced, admins are entitled to ask for web addresses to be removed from player names.

While we will allow some, we will not allow the addresses of porn sites, especially the kind of "shock" sites that you chose for 2 of your names.

Since it was me that did the banning I'll pass this onto our Senior Admins to decide whether to unban, reduce the ban, leave it in place or extend it to other servers.

Until they have made a decision thread locked.

After reviewing your Case with our fellow staff members we have reached a decision. Your actions and severe violations of our ToS made it easy for us to back Phil's decision to permanently ban you from our servers.

You will be allowed to play on our servers again under a different steam ID, just please learn from this incident and refrain from breaking any of our rules and/or violating our ToS. Our Admins and staff will be watching if you happen to come back with the same attitude and I can assure you that the next time it happens, if it happens, there will be no appealing and the result will be the same.
