Kicked & Banned!

ok I have been kicked & banned from the spawnpoint server for no apparent reason. The map was Dust & I was playing as a terrorist. To be constantly told by the CT team...'do you know what the objective is & to stop camping' when we were losing virtually every round becomes a little tiresome. As the last terrorist, my objective is to try to stay alive & plant the bomb or beat the opposition. How I do this is up to me & is not a stipulation of the ct's. I was merely expressing this opinion to Stompy (one of the CT's at this time) & then I find myself kicked & banned. I would like to know why this occured whithout any warning! I have been playingon this server for a while nowwithout any complications & then this happens.Admins are there to police the servers with responsibilty & not abuse their powers. Please explain why this happened. I was playing as Satan Claus.

yea admin's reason for banning you was "none messes with mcg clan" which is a bit unsatisfactory if u ask me.

I can tell you why you were banned, because I spoke to the admin at length a moment later.

Basically, Alphas Male said that

"No one messes with the MCG clan" and "he was kicked for his attitude".

I am with you on this one, because it was a total abuse of admin powers, and totally unfair. I've also been playing on this server for months, I've even got up to Rank no. 1, and have seen quite a lot of what I consider poor adminning on Alpha's Part. He constantly tells people to stop camping but as you said, as long as the objective is attempted within the time limit, they where is the problem? To be honest, I've seen him camp on a number of occasions, it seems like a 'do as I say and not as I do' scenario to me. Take the following scenario..

We're on T on Dust1, half the team never rush, so if we rush it means certain death. The CTs are armed with AWPs and M4s, and we have no money. The CTs are all rushing us, to get easy kills, so the only hope in hell we have of turning things around is to camp and try to soak them up before going to plant. What annoys me even more, is that on occasions when we have planted the bomb, the CTs make NO effort to diffuse (often to look after their ratio or AWPs) and the admin doesn't make a sound. They are patently not attempting to complete the objective and no body says a word about it. Then you have Alpha's obsession with giving everyone 16k and then removing the weapons that they can spend it on. I've never been a problem on the server and I've switched sides in the past to even the teams, which hardly anyone else does, but despite this, Alpha's wasn't exactly forthcoming in his explanation as to why my friend got banned.

On that note, he was getting abuse from some clan people on the opposite side, and he was only giving as good as he got. Why should he rush when he still has 2 minutes to complete his objective? Why should he rush when none of his team mates were rushing? How can MCG have this reputation of being a 'respectable and non-abusive' clan when they carry on at him like they did? I'm sorry but they are the ones who don't understand the point of the game, they were just getting miffed because he was killing them so often. If the admins to this server want more people to rush, they should reduce the time limit.

Anyway, this isn't worth the time and effort, because I doubt anything will be done about it. Alpha's response to me earlier suggested a 'if you don't like it, get stuffed' attitude, and it's never much good when he's on anyway.

I'd like to add my response now... it happened on dustfest, and yeah... this guy was really abusive towards them... now i've been in a quarrel with him before... when he get's pissed off, he get's abusive... i banned him TEMPORARILY for that, however... this has got nothing to do with the mcg clan, the mcg clan is a respectable clan in the UK, they play fair and honest, and are never ever abusive to any player... basicly when you say you dont like it when i am on... all i can say is i am sorry you dont like it when i am on, talk to me, and see if we can find a way so that we can have fun... but i simply will not tolerate abusive behaviour.. one time ok, second fair enough, but multiple times... sorry m8, i've had it... besides, i was informed about your excessive camping, that's why i came on, then i see a whole lot of abusiveness come by in chat.. and i put a stop to it...
Again, if you feel like you are not having fun when i am on, talk to me, and i am sure we can find a way for both to have a pleasant stay at the server without any have to leave...
the guy will be up and playing by now if not, he will surely be tomorrow... and i do send in my appologies for the reaction and the ban... but i was just fed up with it.
Everybody is free to come and have a good game, but i simply will not have any abusive behaviour on the server while i am on that also goes for racism and hackers.

All of you non-admin and admins need to follow map objectives....especially the admins need to set a good example. If you are a T are on a de_ map (bomb map) youHAVE to make an attempt to go find/plant the bomb....camping all round over by spawn until there isn't enough time to complete yourobjectivecan be disciplined. If you are ACTIVELY hunting cts, this is an exception. Camping on the T side of the chokes is not actively hunting.....Cts can camp bombsites all they want....Hostie maps... the T's can camp all they want with a few map-specific exceptions and the ct's need to make an attempt even if you are the last. Running out the clock when theACTIVE objective is yours is against all map rules. Camping when you have the PASSIVE objective is in most cases fine. Admins need to follow the admin for dummies guidelines on this...slap,slay,slay,kick, temp ban....I don't like perm bans personally for a camping offense but some servers support this and others are more lenient. Those of you not following map objectives, not YOUR personal oppinion of what they are, but the server's definition of what they are, get what you deserve. Does this mean admins can be abusive and skip some of the steps? No...but if you are warned by an admin and continue doing what they warned you not to do, then you get what you get. If afterwards you still feel like you are right, post your story in the report an incident forum and the spawnpoint staff will review it. Now, admins, if a player is warned and continues to do the actions (or non-actions)...then gets verbally or chat abusive, deal with them to keep the server game running smooth according to the server rules. I know that I get tired of having to baby-sit players that have to be continually reminded not to UV camp, glitch, mic spam, ect. I am sure I am not the only one. If you are a player that just can't seem to keep from breaking the rules, don't come crying to us....we don't want to hear it.

Right i'm really confused now.

I was under the impression that in CSS there is more than 1 way to win on every map if i'm not mistaken? To plant the bomb and get it to "explode" is only one way to win on DE maps if i'm correct. Now i've played with Jimbo and Kai for a VERY long time and they're some of the best and FAIREST players you'll ever meet.

Extreme i'm sorry mate but i'd have done the same in his position. With 2 minutes to go and few, if any, team mates left it's "SUICIDE" to attempt to go plant the bomb! You find a good spot and aim to pick a few of the opposition first as they hunt for you BEFORE you attempt to plant the bomb. And whilst on the subject I for one will REFUSE to go near a bomb site even if i have the bomb if i don't think i've ANY CHANCE of suceeding with THAT objective. Also I certainly am not gonna "rush to my death" if i'm the last CT alive and the remaining T's are camping the ticking bomb site. You "hole up, stay alive and keep your weapon and armour" mate Also i've never been pulled up in ANY clan match for actively camping choke points in order to hold up / stall the CT charge that invariable ensues.

If people complain that the guy was still alive with 2 minutes to go and they weren't perhaps they should look at their OWN tactics and stay alive longer. It's hard to achieve ANY win / objective when you're dead LOL.

Alpha you seem to get into a quarrel with an awful lot of people just now. I've seen you act like this before. You need to calm down a bit and keep your finger of the ban button mate. Please remember that YOU are the "front line" in SPAWNPOINT and should be both fair and impartial. Handing out $16000 willy nilly is strictly doing no-one any favours. Also remember that Spawnpoint has a restriction on weapons and try to make sure they are kept to. If i'm NOT mistaken is there not supposed to be a restriction on the number of AWP's etc on the dust server anyway.

As for MCG being well respected in the UK. So what areyou trying tosay? Are the B.o.D clan not?? You better do some homework on players and clans mate before waving that accusation around boy. You just might be able to stick your other foot in as well

Perhaps it's time for someone "neutral" to take a look at what goes on in some of the servers when "BIG Brother" is not around to keep an eye on certain folks.

Can someone tell me how long the ban was for please? I assume it wasn't for a long time??Alpha you'll have some record of your warnings to the player i assume???

If not can we all "grow up a little" and try to get on. I've just managed to get Kurtz, Jimbo, Kai etc to come play on thedamn servers and bring some quality to Dust. Hell Kurtzand Jimbo are Enemy Down Leagueveterans and used to admin the FG and Zoig servers (I'd recommend either of them to admin at the drop of a hat especially if we're looking for admins that don't ALWAYS play Common Grounds or Assault). I'm not gonna have our expanding community ruined by someone who seems to think that rules only work one way. That's happening more and more often on the UK servers and i'm getting kind of sick of it.

Also i do reckon that Kurtz, or any of his clan mates are good and fair players, i've never mentioned they aren't Raven... all i said is that mcg is a respected clan in the UK, i haven't said anything about another clan, so please don't accuse me of that...

So, if we now can all be friendly again... i say sorry for what i did... and i would very much like it to just play again on the server.

I'm just saying that this is the SECOND time in a short space of time you've had to come on here and apologise to players for "losing the rag" and banning them.

Perhaps a bit more "restraint" would help everyone have a better time on here? Next time use PM admin chat and learn BOTH sides of a pitched arguement before deciding that because one guy "is from a respected UK clan" he must be right! Because in this case the "other" guy is from a really respected clan too!!LMAO.

Right first of all thanks for the reply's. Alpha, I have played many times on this server as It was Robbo who suggested the Spawnpoint servers to me & the rest of the B.O.D clan with the demise of Zoig. Yes I am also a member of the B.o.D clan but I do not wear my tag as we get accused of Ghosting which we don't. As far as the 'abuse' goes, I think you need to look back over what was said as I don't think I was abeing abusive but merely stating an opinion in response to several CT's as to how I should play this map.I agree excessive camping can be a pain but sometimes it is neccessary. The last man has a right to imo. You would also find me to be trying to acheive my objective always, which is more than I can say for some CT's who when the bomb was planted, made no attempt to even try to defuse. It cuts both ways. I fully understand how to play this map but people need to appreciate thatDust is an out & out CT map. Ifyou get a goodCT team, then even rushing is difficult, but like I say, howthe T's playtheir part of the game is not a stipulation of the CT team. If the CT's want to rush us, which was happening yesterday, then it's not upto the T's toask them to stop rushing, is it?would that be fair? no it wouldn't.Alpha, I have no problem with you at all & contrary to what you havesaid in your previous post & I quote 'now i've been in a quarrel with him before... when he get's pissed off, he get's abusive... i banned him TEMPORARILY for that' is a total fabrication as I have never argued with you at all, this is my first encounter of any kind of adisagreement on this server. Another point is to be aware of the fact that there are thousands of servers which play these maps & we can pick & choose where we go. If you want a good community then by all means police the server as you do but think a little more before you wave your magic wand. I would have prefered a warning to me directly before you banned me as this would have at least been some justification on your part if I had ignored it.
